WEDNESDAYs - San Fernando @ Target Meet
Recently a good bunch of rx8 locals have been showing up to this meet.
it started as a small SFV mazdas in general meet, and is open to pretty much any car enthusiast now adays. There are even a couple other car clubs that meet in that area who we are cool with... Typical parking lot meet, then we usually roll out at 10pm to a little shop we like to hang out at that gives us discounts on snacks... also around midnight sometimes we get to watch all the ricers fly down Topanga from "the races", made even funnier if cops chase em. we don't usually get hassled since we dont scatter like we got guilty consciousses and dont have riced lookin cars.

Target on San Fernando Blvd & Balboa right off the 118 freeway. Meet starts @ 8PM every Wednesday night. You can find us right behind the Shell station in the Target parking lot. During the winter season, we park in the parking garage due to the cold. Around 10PM, we all head out to Frootsii's in Chatworth and enjoy Cupcakes, Frozen Yogurt, Boba, Pastries
and more! MOCC members and those with us get 10% off!
We also do canyon runs from time to time. There are about 4-5 great canyons in the Chatsworth area which are only a couple of minutes away from Frootsii's. We have fun during these runs, but keep it safe.

MOCC DOES NOT CONDONE NOR TOLERATE STREET RACING! If you decide to street race, you are responsible for your own actions! MOCC is NOT RESPONSIBLE for any damage that may occur to you or your vehicle while street racing.

**CANYON RUN SAFETY NOTES**
We mostly do the canyon runs at night. This can be dangerous, so please be mindful of that. DO NOT participate if you feel you or your vehicle cannot handle it.
1. DO NOT participate if you feel you or your vehicle cannot handle turns or twists very well (Many of the canyons have sharp turns which can cause your vehicle to slip or slide. Also, dizziness may be an issue for some people. If you can't see too well at night please DO NOT participate. Night time canyon runs can be dangerous.)
2. Make sure your vehicle suspension is up to par. You might also want to visually inspect your tires for tread.
3. Always wear your seat belt.
4. NEVER try to tailgate the person in front of you.
5. NEVER try to catch up to the person in front of you at high speeds (Some of our members know the canyon extremely well. If you are new, you won't be able to estimate turns or the vehicle in front of you properly. KEEP YOUR DISTANCE!!!)
6. The canyons have narrow roads. Make sure your headlights have the proper lighting. (We mostly do night time canyon runs)
7. Be sure your vehicle can handle the rigors of going up hill.
8. Be safe and enjoy!

1) No revving
2) No peeling out
3) Be responsible (and for those you invite)
4) Respect everyone
So pretty much...don't be an idiot or douche bag and you'll be fine.
Everyone IS welcome! We'd also like to see old school Mazda's show up. :2thumbs:
We'll also be up to go to other meets once and awhile to make it fun and interesting. We want some of the other locals to come to ours once and awhile too!

a few of you are showing up next Wednesday, just letting yall know this mazda meet is still up and goin!
We had our first Mazda2 show up the this week. surprisingly nice car, well made, sporty interior, peppy drive.

i know a bunch of yall hit Tues meet already in Reseda.
for those that know the MOCC crowd, one of our regulars that some of you know (Jimmy, white Mazda6 owner) is leaving for basic training with teh Army in just a week or two, so this is his last meet with us.
if anyone can, just to give respect to a future armed serviceman for our great country, show up. thx!

batou - is this thing still going on regularly? i haven't been on the mocc in a while but it'd be nice to meet up with some old friends.
