The owner has the certificate of authenticity from the movie studio.

Jedi, is their a rotary in F&F FD? IIRC it did not sound like a rotary powered car in the movie...

 

yeah, the one they used for the driving scenes was an Automatic FD.
I think I remember seeing it sold on ebay by the studio a while back.

So I just got back home. Had to make a detour to Lake Havasu City.

I just want to say I had a great time in SoCal. Good to see all the old friends and make a helluva lot of new friends.

Seriously.... when I first walked into the Dyno Bay... I saw the Tube Instrument on the Table and Immediately got WOOD and almost went into shock. I want it BLACK. <---- **** wrong thread.

 

Cool great vids, but you know why they don't like to have dynos in certain spots.

 

Sorry to hear about your engine, same thing happened to me. I had no CEL and motor blew, white smoke coming out the exhaust and engine bay. Come to find out that the Catalytic converter never threw a CEL and it went out on me creating back pressure and blowing the engine. I asked the dealership why it never threw a CEL and they had nothing to report. So now I have a new engine installed costing $4600 and a hollowed out CAT because to replace it was $1400. It ran real rough until the computer got use to having no CAT. Now it runs normal and has a CEL. But when I sent an email to Mazda they replied back that its a problem they will look into and if it shows as a defect then they will refund me the money and issue a recall. Not that it will happen because there are a lot of problems with the RX8 that should of had a recall in my opinion. Anyway your not alone with this problem. Just got a PM from a guy with a 4port AT reporting the same thing.
