so Drifting.com - Alex, wants to do a Documentary DVD on this Dyno event. Alex also worked with MAZDATRIX on their Rotary Rebuild DVD. Alex wants to make a DVD on MazdaManiac on how he uses the COBB ACCESSPORT to tune a Turbocharged RX8 (Renesis Rotary) and what better day than DYNO DAY? Alex called MAZDATRIX & asked them what they knew about the COBB AP, & they responded that its a GREAT tuning tool for a Turbo'd car w/ a OBD-II port. MAZDATRIX also responded that they dont use it on KYLE MOHANS car because his set up is RACE TRIM & there is no where to plug in. If MazdaManiac is interested, Alex's contact info is info@drifting.com . This became interesting to Alex because I had told him I was going Turbo and he had ask me how I was going to Tune it because Rotaries are a PITA & I replied "with the COBB AP w/ MM tunes" I showed him MazdaManiacs website & BHR and now Alex wants to meet JEFF- MM. Only thing is we would have to squeeze one or two Turbo'd or SC'd 8's on Sunday because Alex is

 

only available Sunday that weekend. I know MazdaManiac doesnt know me too well but this is a GREAT opportunity to get MazdaManiac & BHR & Rotaries some awesome exposure! Alex is good friends w/ Steve @ SR Motocars if thats of any good 411. Im just stating what I know. I also mentioned that its possible that BHR was going to LIVE broadcast Via Stickam. What do you guys think? Would be very nice to have a DVD memory of SOCAL's finest getting tuned by MM. And NO, Alex- Drifting.com is not going to charge to make the Documentary. Alex just wants to know if its okay to Record MazdaManiac doing what he does best .

The thing about race-trim cars is an actual problem I've run into over the years; Some of the guys that set their cars up for racing take the OE immobilizer stuff and the OBD-II DLC out and then run the RacingBeat flash.
Its a PITA when they realize they want to tune the car and find out they can't.

only problem I see is squeezing FI cars into Sunday. The weekend is going to be PACKED as it is.

^Jedi... Ill give up my spot on Sunday to let a Saturday tuned FI'd car re-run on the dyno for the video, & then let MazdaManiac explain how the whole process works. Ill even cover the charge of the DYNO run for the FI'd Volunteer... I talked to GREGS & NGO (@ LAX MEET) about being the volunteer (because most likely he'll be there both days) & GREG has no problem being in it. Either GREGS or NGO, or both would be cool. Ill be recording on SAT as well for more video.
