Damn, who owns that 8 with the huge wing?

 

Rob, I think? I don't know his forum username. He's got the FULL Velside kit, hood and all. It actually looks surprisingly good. I'm not looking to get the kit, but I wouldn't cry if it happen to appear on my car (assuming it looked as good as the one pictured) while I was asleep.

It wasn't until I started posting pics that I realized that I only had pics of his car. I guess because I hadn't seen it before. MikeB had that title after the BBQ.

 

thanks for the pics, anyone got some more to add? i really want to see that veilside in person. sometimes its nice, sometimes is rice, i think seeing it in person would help me decide.

It was good seeing some of you again, and others, for the first time... I would've liked to have stayed longer and maybe gone for a drive, but the jet lag was/is killing me! Next time, I'd like to participate in a meet-n-drive or something along those lines... and I can even bait the police with my wing as you make your getaway.

it was my first time going to those meets and i would have to say im glad i did! not only did i learn a lot of stuff and can now plan out my car better, but i got to see the world famous Veilside side/Greddy rx8!!!

 

It was my first meet too... it was a pleasent surpise to see so many 8's show up! It was also nice meeting several of you guys and trying to match faces and cars with screen names!

Great job on the interior. That wing is HUGE. How do you see out of the rear window?

 

Actually, like I was telling Craig, the wing is so tall that it doesn't interfere with looking out the rear window... where it really interferes is with the gigantic triangular side plates that messes with my side-rear views. I just took them off and the wing doesn't look as... obtrusive. I'll post pics later.

One of the things I've reluctantly discovered from this car compared to my previous car(s) is that having other people work on your car and decide what looks "right" takes away severely from pride of ownership. For the record, I think the wing is HUGE as well. I dug my own hole this time around...
