if the rx8 has immobilizer keys the car cant be driven without them

That is true but dont you think criminals can hotwire or get past that.

Not if the ECU (or another processor) requires the code to operate.

You guys are probably right but my last car was stolen and I don't want to ever go thru that again. The lojack early detection gives me piece of mind if my car moves without me they call me. Piece of mind is priceless to me
