Angry Stay Away From Irvine Mazda & Heritage (tustin) Mazda

Just thought I point out one more time that these 2 dealerships SUCK **** when it comes to customer service: rude and careless.

Peace!

I think Mazda Corporate is trying very hard to improve cusotmer service but most of the dealers can't get their act straight.

I get a call from Mazda NA every time I go in for service and always gave great remarks for Tustin Mazda. But not after this last visit.

Lets hope they get their act to gether soon. I need a good reliable service place.

Yeah, Tustin Mazda just isn't the same as before after Heritage took over, so sad. I really like the old Service Staff. I think Mazda Corporation should take whip to all the "bad" dealers. Next time I get a call from Mazda Customer Service about my visit, I'm going to give them hell!

Robert, why is it that when I stopped by at the service area, the ladies just seemed totally oblivious to what I was trying to ask them?

I asked them...

1) Can I make a appointment for next week for maintenance? She said... Oh this week is completely booked. Uhhh

Later that week I returned, another lady was there..
2) I'm here for my 5k service, which I had made the appt over the phone, and she said... "Oh sorry, but your car is already 6,500 miles, you'll have to pay for that one, and wait until the 10k service." Uhmmm... Is it just my luck or something?

Who should I deal with on this matter Robert?

uh wow, im at a loss for words. i am going to show this to my manager too. but I dont know what to say except, sorry. it is not the way it should be handled. i am sure it will be handled diferent after he reads the printout. if you are willing to come back in again, next time ask for me (Robert Glover). not sure who you dealt with previously i will personally help you and every other RX8-CLUB member. also when/if you came in ask for tech Alex he is our rx8 expert. again i do apologize for the way you were treated and it will be directed to the manager. thanks for the info, sorry for the treatment

I just posted this for someone asking about my experience with Irvine mazda. However I will definetely go with Browning Mazda for my car service. By the way I will look for you Robert... Thank you for your efforts that you are giving to the members of this forum.

Here what I posted.....

"In my case, my experience with Irvine Mazda went really smooth at the beginning. The difference is because I had all my numbers straight from Edmuds.com and also I just dealt with the internet sales guy; his name is Randy Thompson. Him being an ex-Marine was really courteous and answered my questions started either with "Yes Sir or No Sir!¨
Kudos for our men and women in the military!
The other reason is that I dealt with him over emails before I drove down there. He gave me $400 over invoice which is not really bad deal and all the fees (tax, license, options, etc.) spelled out and the final number out of the door. Other dealers was giving me the run around with the numbers even thought they were offering about $100 less over the invoice in which meant nothing for me since they can sneak a charge somewhere.
Oh, I forgot to mention that because I wanted a spare tire and I got my car on Sunday, the service department was close... So, he even offered dropping my spare tire at my home on the following day. Well, I had my spare tire on Tuesday because he got so busy. At least he called about the change of plans.
My experience went a bit sour with the finance department.. yup, that guy was rude, but I stood my ground since I have the numbers in front of me spelled out. He even wanted to sell me the extended warranty for 3K which I refused because is a dealer only warranty which means that I have to drive down there (50 miles) just to get my car service. He said "you know the RX8 is a rally sophisticated machine and most of the problems start to show up after the warranty expires an it can cost you a lot of money later on for repair!¨ I thought "are you implying that Mazda vehicles are pieces of junks?", but I just wanted to get it over and said "I will deal with it when the time comes" Anyway, I kept refusing his extended warranty and he offered me his "cost" of $2000. I kept refusing it and at the end before signing the final paper he said "how about $1500?" I said "NO" and he looked at me like he wanted to chew me up but I gave him my "whatever dude" stare :p
Anyway, if you can deal with him and have all the numbers spelled out, you have more control over the situation. But after reading others people post, I will definitely stay away for the service department and other salespeople."

Good experience at Irvine

So far my experience has been good with Irvine Mazda. I'm dealing with the Internet manager and he gave me a good price with out a hassle. I came with my own finanacing so I do not have any experience with their finace guys. The Internet Manager tells me that they have a new service manager and in fact they had problems in the past - but assures me things are better. I soon will find out!

I'm picking up my new Titanium Grey G/T brown/black interior RX8 Tuesday. I have asked them to make sure the service dept. verifies the latest flash for the ECU prior to my taking possesion. This will be my first experience with the service dept.
