Last weekend I saw some MAZDA 3's over twenty on Highway 17. Looks like they were having fun. I was going towards SJ they were heading the other way.... BTW-I am planning on selling my Shinka sometime this year. Moving overseas. Pass the word if anyone is interesed. thanks V/R

Hello everyone,
I'm new to this forum. Just bought a 2009 RX8 GT (auto) - yes i'm a dork, i drive auto..yes..i know i already lost 20 hp..but i had too, my wife needs to drive it around too
..and she doesn't want to learn stick... 
Anyway. I'm not a modifier..or even close to understanding cars too much, and I hope it would be ok to meet other RX8 drivers in the South Bay who doesn't mind a stock car around their cars. I don't know how elite your group is, if any? Anyway..not to shoot myself in the foot yet, HI..and yes..i'm weird

Lastly, after I bought my car, I started reading all these forums that said the car could be "high maintenance", but also mostly everyone loves it, so that gives me hope. Hoping to learn a few pointers on how to take care of this car, since I want to keep it for a long long time.

Well first of all, congrats on the car. Since you have an 09 most of the bugs and complaints might've been worked out already. If you're into doing your own oil changes, its super easy.
We're a friendly crown man, don't feel weird because you got a stock auto.

Welcome Joldsha... always happy to have a new 8 owner in the group. Modding is not needed to hang out and most of us aren't heavily modded.
The usual meet is in Union City at the krispie cream in union landing but we mix it up from time to time. We all met for breakfast at Stacks in Campbell this last Sunday and we sometimes meet in Dave and Busters in Milpitas... it really depends on someone suggesting a place other then the UC hang out.
Make sure to check the link that Ever posted, that's where we do most of our talking since us south bay guys are always being pushed around by those SF ***-hats

Hi Jwind.. we'll be meeting in Union City this friday if you're up for a drive. I'm off the 87 and curtner if you want to meet and drive up together. We switch the meets from dave and busters in milpitas and union city since people live all over and some are closer to one then the other.
