SoCal Tuning & DynoDay with MazdaManiac - Jan. 24th
if its becuz the exhaust, then ill probably change back to my tanabe, but it wouldn't have to get retuned now would it? it is just an exhaust, the diameter is probably .5,.4 inches smaller
I just want to say thanks to Jedi for doing an AWESOME job on this Dyno Day. Good seeing everybody and meeting a lot of new people. And seeing some old friends.
I had a great time.
Now I have to down load all the pics and videos I took yesterday and the day before.
And by the way I win the Highest Torque Trophy. A little over 1000 Ftlbs.

Jedi,
213 naturally-aspirated horsepower is still 213... engine porting is not considered FI. Sure, it's laborious and tricky, and there was no guarantee that it would pay any dividends for Ray, but, that being said, his number was still higher than yours. He wins the "Highest N/A" award.
BTW- his WHP is now equal to the amount that Mazda originally said the RX-8 would make, way back in 2003 when it first debuted. With the drivetrain losses, that's right at about 250 at the flywheel. This is a considerable point to make because, obviously, the first test cars were carefully assembled (no-production line) so their engines (and ports) might have been a little better.
Jedi, yours is still awesome though, and you'll pick up more when the coils are working a little better on your car. I think 206 would probably be a realistic number for yours eventually. I'm sure it's more than mine.

Lin,
I just received your paypal dispute and I am disgusted with your behavior in this matter.
You were the VERY LAST person to pay for Jeff's Travel fees (took you 10 days to respond) and the LAST person to pay for tuning (I had to send you a reminder the day of the deadline) and yet you file a claim in 2 days?!
Do you honestly believe that was the appropriate course of action?!
This is pathetic and I expect you to drop your claim IMMEDIATELY and we can settle this in a civil manner.
