Then calls back and leaves a message saying they found a used motor with 50,000miles that they're going to lifetime guarantee.

**** that, our maintenance on these cars is way too finicky for a 50,000mi unknown history motor! I'm not going to roll over on this one...

 

lol tell them to go **** themselves they want to give you a motor with 50K miles. It might blow up like a week after it's installed, then they would have to cover the same **** over again.

Matt - Yeah man, I hope there's something I can do about that. The history of that motor would be 100% unknown. As far as financial outcome, if that went within 40,000, which is likely, they would have been better off totaling my car altogether.

 

Tilt: so this was all covered by your extended warranty company? not Mazda?

I disagree wholeheartedly.

I have bright green wheels on, my car is substantially lowered, I've got header-back exhaust, etc and they still didn't mind checking it out for me. It's all about dealership choice...
