Yeah, +1 to the admins for keeping that thread clear of the theater displays from the peanut gallery. It's one thing when it's relatively mild drama that is more humorous than anything else, but a serious one involving someone's business and livelyhood (which is true, no matter how dishonest it was) and the collective integrity of the community...that crap needs to stay out of the thread.
100% agree with you Jedi, though I have such limited purchases through vendors here, all my observations are from said peanut gallery, so I am staying out of it. Assuming you are correct about Brice deleting that original banned post, that says alot right there. I also noticed it was posted twice.

RIWWP: I know 100% that is what happened.
I probably should not have divulged that information since it was told to me by someone very high up here but Tilt asked and I saw no harm in answering the question.

Brice was selling **** from Scott.
Regardless of any other facts, he elusively allowed Scott back into the community.
Staticlag hit the nail on the head; Scott's reputation was his own to clear, Bryce dealt with Scott and explicitly lied about it.
Why is Bryce still around again? Nothing against him personally, I don't doubt he means well but unfortunately he got tangled in something larger than he could handle. A potentially expensive mistake he's made, considering how easy it is to find one's reputation on the internet.
Kudos to Bryce for not simply leaving, and at least attempting to back himself up. Sure, it can be criticized, but does it not mean more that he says something, rather than nothing at all?

it saddens me that people are going in there saying, "thanks for the fast shipping on xyz part, great service!"
That discussion is about something SO MUCH BIGGER. Anyone can ship a freaking part. Hell, even I was able to do that two weeks ago when I shipped my RB unit to Alz0rz.
Collect money
put item in box
drop box off at Fed EX
Not that hard, hell half the time the items are drop shipped from the manufacturer or wholesaler.
I wish people would open their eyes to the real issue at hand.

Wouldn't it be a better strategy to simply pack up camp, delete his account, have everyone label him as a cheater, and set up shop under an entirely different name/monicker and/or sell remaining product to another party?
Overcoming this seems MUCH harder than that approach, imo.

Truth. This post speaks it.
Agreed. It's not that I don't believe you, but I throw in that disclaimer because from my perspective, your post IS hearsay, subject to even more misinterpretation, misunderstanding, misleading, or mistake than the message to you was. When it gets to me being 3rd party (which I am for 99.9% of all of this, I did purchase a clutch bracket from RR), I recognize that whatever information I read has every potential to be skewed from all of those 'mis-' words, and I will never have first hand bare bone facts proving whether or not they are...
...and that my perception and opinion on the issue matters not at all
Deliberately (though still subconsciously) didn't quote you or use other wording implying that I am backing up that statement or validating it. Something I am used to as a 'default mode' from filling out hundreds of police reports, court documents, etc...

sephy: this is the thread that opened up a lot of eyes for Scott's customers.
after this was posted, dozes and dozens of customers came forward saying that they too had been scammed
at one point, there was a thread that listed members and money / parts owed. The total was well over $100,000.

tilt: i completely agree, it would be a better strategy imo but then again it's not what everybody would choose.
He still obviously has people willing to buy from him and he still has the opportunity to make a good amount of money from people who don't care for reputation and care more about what's best for their wallet - I would imagine a person(good salesman) could see this as a shot in the dark to save some kind of face and still scrape out some money out from a bleeding market.
i guess it's my personal opinion that someone would be this conniving...go figure, i guess it's my faith in society..

to add on to my point - he's already lost face with multiple communities now - if he were to close up shop and start anew some where else, he may find hecklers.
If he were to some how save face and mend small bridges he might still be able to start fresh some where else w/out having to worry about hecklers n' nay sayers. Not saying he'll avoid all of them but he wouldn't have to deal with a bigger scale.

Half a dozen one way, half a dozen the other.
A good cover up wouldn't allow the communities to heckle him for his past; they wouldn't know it was him.
Anyways, looks like I'll be missing the rest of this, I suspect the thread will be locked by the time I get back.
waaaaaay behind on work I need to finish!!!

tilt: Atilla is correct.
Brice is down to very few options at this point. The mazdaspeed crowd can't stand him, the MS3 group has had a few engines blown up due to Scott's tuning, the turbo kit designed for them isn't being delivered, deposits are being held, and I don't think he made much progress in the MS6 group.
If he loses the RX8 crowd, it's probably close to Game Over for him.
Maybe he just needs to buy himself time while he gets in with the Evo crowd (I think he recently bought an Evo) but who knows.
The only person who really knows what is going on is Brice and I dare not delve into that mind.

@ starting new company
i honestly don't think he'd be able to get away with it again, in the mazda community again. I mean we figured it out once already.
Imagine RR disappears today, in a couple of months a new vendor pops up, even if it's in a completely different state people will be suspicous. And with internet stalkers etc they would find out if it was him
imo
