So I was talking to my uncle yesterday and he mentioned something that is used on some of the surfer forums that he frequents. Next to your post there is a button that people can vote on if your posts sucks. If enough people vote the post/thread would be deleted or closed. I thought it was a pretty good idea but might get abused on this site =/. Could help with some of the repost threads that pop up about 15 times a day though

I've seen that used on some forums, pretty cool feature but I see it being abused too much on here just as the thread tags were.

 

What if there was accountability, if the mods could see who is voting and if someone was abusing the feature they could whip out the banhammer accordingly.

idk I kind of like the lulz that the stupid threads bring, it's a nice break from the rest of the normal boring bs or drama that goes on

if you look at the list of moderators on this site and look at their profile page, you'll find that LESS then half of them are even active on this site.
