rocky: don't solder it. try cleaning it out first, if that doesn't work then consider buying another connection (which is what I did since the part number has in fact been upadted), and absolutely make certain you extend that overflow hose out of the way.

for my dailys?? pfft - no way. I'll end up tearing through them way to fast. If i get the star specs i'll get em' for the forgestars. I plan on getting another set of kdw's for my dailys or some s drives. I figure i'll be shooting more for tread life than grip or performance.
