So just curious here what you guys that have decided to lower your 8's have used. I'm thinkin of goin with Tanabe springs and Koni yellows. I could totally post this in the suspension forum I know, but I like local opions for some reason lol. Plus you guys are always full of great advise adn drive similar weather/conditions. That and it's kinda quiet in here today.

Konis are awesome!
The only complaint with them is the rear struts can't be adjusted while on the car so if you want to stiffen the ride or soften it, you'll need to remove them, adjust, and re-install.
I ran Koni's and S-Techs for quite some time and I never really found a reason to adjust the rears so this was a non-issue for me.
The fronts are super easy to adjust, just gotta pop the hood.

I believe Tokico is very similar to the Konis but they offer an adjustment cable for the rear struts in case you plan on adjusting them, you won't have to remove the struts.

I'm now running HKS Hipermax III coilovers and have never been happier.

If you're just looking to drop the car for looks...i'd just get some tein's n' call it a day. A lot of us have tried different springs, swift, tein, tanabe etc...however if you're looking for both the shock n' spring...you can save up n' just shoot for coilovers. The adjustability of coilovers are tough to pass up especially when some of them are competitive in price to springs and shocks...then again, others like to mix n' match certain combinations...like the tokico d specs are nice...koni yellows have been a favorite of many...not to mention bilstein...

really depending on what you're looking to accomplish...

btw, i'm running on swift springs n' gt shocks. I'm happy...but i'm sure i'd be pretty damn happy if i could have jumped on that Powertrix coilover GB

s-techs leave the rear too high and a kitten loses it's whiskers everytime someone installs them

That was why I dismissed the s-techs. I deebated about coilovers for a long time, but in the end I dont think I will really ever adjust the ride hieght so I threw em out. Still in the planning stage either way. Again as always you guys are awsome with your insight.

Thats a good question lol. I was hoping to keep it under like $700 (child support and alimony sux), but I may have to readjust that. I don't wanna cheap it out and get inferior quality.

hmmmmmmmm....imo, i'd save up some cash n' spring for some coilovers. If you can't stand the wait...maybe some Tanabe's?? Just make sure not to be a n00b n' put them on backwards like some people have

Just because you have coilovers doesn't mean you have to adjust them all the time to make them worth it. You can adjust them once to perfection and be done. Used ones can be found for around $700 sometimes but decent coilovers are looking to be around $1000-1200 when they pop up used or new depending on the ballerness of said item.
