SoCal Lounge II
well just got home, went to meet my counselor at school at school then went to the dmv and finally registered the fc :D the drive home sucked half of downtown riverside has no light and is flooded, im so happy i dont have an ms/aem intake lol i took side streets, cause i dont trust how california drivers drive in the rain for my sake
so my car is still at Tustin Mazda..i am getting a new cat, coolant tank, air pump, and motor mounts..they did a compression test and my engine is good. i never authorized a compression test though and they are charging me 100.00$..is this right?
I wouldn't be surprised if they're charging you $100 for that compression test because it yielded nothing wrong. Like I said before, I wouldn't have gone to Tustin. Then again, if you think about it, $100 isn't bad for all that stuff lol.
Yeah but can they just do a compression test without walter's approval?
If you take your car in with engine problems it's not a clean bill for them to start testing and replacing **** ***** nilly

true, but that said tustin mazda is the only one i would take it to every mazda dealer i have benn too is full of ****, except for norco mazda, but due to the economy they dissapeared :[
Good dealer, definitely - they replaced my tail-lights with condensation when I just meant to drop by inquiring about it. Seems you have to be clear about everything there though. My guess is they may have mentioned something like a potential fee but most likely not etc etc.
Galpin ftw!
as far as i know, i only mentioned the knocking sound which might have led to a compression test? everything is being covered under warranty except for the air pump..they are still unsure..shouldn't the air pump be the first thing covered?
you mentioned knocking, that's why they tested the compression.
Tustin Mazda is THE only dealership I recommend, I have taken my last two Mazdas there, they have always been fair, taken good car of my vehicles, and have always corrected any issues.
$100 is a small price to pay and it is a just price since you did mention that something could be wrong with the engine. I'm sure they mentioned something about a probable diagnostic fee.
Besides, didn't all the dealerships just tell you that nothing was wrong?
