I just got my car and I want to make it faster, what are the first modifications I should do?

Do a full 60K tune up, replacing all the fluids (including brake, clutch, tranny, engine oil, coolant, and rear end lube), spark plugs and cables, all filters (including fuel, oil and air), belts, any hoses that are leaking or bulging, and the O2 sensor. In addition if the car is more than 10 years old or has more than 120K miles on it, the Pulsation Dampener (or pimary fuel rail and integrated Pulsation Dampener on 89-91 FCs) should be also replaced.

No I dont plan on making it my DD. I already have a DD (99 hyundai elantra) and even then I dont drive that at all. Pretty much only for paintballing and/or grocery getter. I dont drive to work either, we have work trucks for that So My FC is going to see only meet&greet time. Some weekend driving when I'm bored or some crusing with IZZY.

I plan on keeping it all original interior wise with a re upholster kit from RacingBeat. As far as the outside... Im pretty much going to order a body kit from MazdaTrix. Most likely the same kit Kyle Mohan had on his FC. I want to do a "widebody" ... but if the widebody panels/fenders require messing with my original body work, then no. Considering its a convertible Im hoping the widebody would be no problem.. I made a promise to the original owner who'm i bought it from and promised to keep it original and if i was to change anything i would change it only where it could be changed back to its original condtion.

I bought it off a young lady (30s) who dad passed away and he had two RX7's. Both RED- one convertible and one hard top. He gave one to his son in GA and one to his daughter here in Cali. At first when I wanted an FC i was planning MASS amounts of MODS and fenders and all kinds of crap. But after having it and seeing how sexy it is in person and sitting in the seats that hug your *** so tight... I plan on keeping it original. From what I researched... My SSR's will most likely fit but looking to put some Work VSXX's in 18" Polished...

make sure all the ports are properly opening and functioning alot of the times the secondary ports dont work on s4s cause they are operated on the exhuast backpressure

zumn your rims for the 8 are too high offset so they will hit the struts of the fc they might clear with coilovers but itll look like crap look into some 17s and slam it if your gonna run the gp sports kit, if your going bn sports 18s is a must but you have to run a staggered setup or else the side skirts give the appearance of reverse rake which doesnt look quite right

Unless you live in PHX. Nice find Zumn. Fix her up so she's purdy.

Is driving a convertible RX7 like driving a Miata?
