i got my car in june of 04 and just had it smogged this year.
the guy told me it passed with no problem.
i did put my stock cat back on before that tho.
have the racing beat intake and bhr coils.
both of which i think helped

 

You should be fine with both. Just get your stock cat on and exhaust.

 

what about this question will it pass smog if you have a cel for something not 02 sensor/exhaust related. My cel is for the pcm will they not let me pass?

Rev, they should be able to pass it if the cel is not emissions/smog related (O2, etc). If they say it fails, ask why it did and what CEL caused it. If it's nothing related to emissions then I'd argue logic with them. It's the same as if your TPMS sensor is tripped, and you fail emissions because the TPMS CEL is thrown which would be plain dumb. I would call whomever you plan on going to for the testing and check with them just to be sure so you don't waste your time.

As for people thinking you're **** rooting for Germany, I'm pretty sure they just hate you because you wear scarves when it's warm out and therefore look gay like Germans........j/k While I don't care who won, I was expecting Germany to.

Im pretty sure its a state wide thing if you got a cel they wont pass you. It's part of the inspection. They wouldn't even touch mine when I had a CEL on my Z

 

yeah in cali doesnt matter what the code is if your cell is on you atomatically fail

 

I seriously doubt if my TPMS CEL was on, as in I used aftermarket rims that are not TPMS compatible, they wouldn't pass me. That's pure bullshit, there's no way to remove the cell without the AP just for running rims that don't take the TPMS. In the same aspect, if something completely unrelated to emissions had a CEL and they failed mine, I wouldn't accept that, I'd reason with them why it's not applicable.
