seriously...if you've unscrewed everything and able to push out one side then you should be able to push out the other unless you are 60+ years old and suffering from severe arthritis and heart problems...

Well, that motor turned out to be ****, and Galpin made a deal with MNAO and my insurance company to get me a brand new rebuild.

I haven't had my car for over 5 weeks but the fact I'll be getting it back in another week with a fresh motor really makes me happy.

There's a little invention called a ratchet... that will make your life 100x easier.

You won't be able to take out the nuts that secures the ignition coil packs with a screwdriver and a 10mm socket...

Why? It's called leverage... damn n00bs...

 

I found that i didn't screw in a bolt and spacer it has an 8 on the top. not sure where its from =\

 

I had a ratchet but it only fit the socket that had like 12 grooves while the one needed was a 5 groove one. but yeah, i'm kind of scared about the bolt, I'll get a pic later ><

 

If the screw have a letter 8 on top then that's for the exhaust bearing... you better get that in there otherwise it won't be grounded properly.

 

I don't think that there's such a thing as a 5 groove bolt/nut on the 8... and a 12 point socket would be sufficient.

 

Where is that exactly? I didn't do any exhaust work, but that may be a stupid response.

 

It's actually suppose to go to a wire to keep your exhaust bearings grounded, if it's not grounded then you'll have a short.

shhh, this is my first car and I have no clue what is going on.

 

It's located underneath the intake box, there should be a wire running from the exhaust bearing to it. A lot of people remove this bolt to work on coils and such and forget to put it back; they end up with a blown fuse about 2 or 3 days later.

 

Also, you'll ruin your secondary muffler bearings if that's not on, it'll cause it to spark.

yeah, and that spark can lead to VERY bad things.

 

forget it, just put 2% milk in the gas tank and be done with it
