oO and i sprained my ankle at my game sunday...=/ its looking pretty bad.
and it makes me sad because i can't drive my car.

did you take your shoes off after it happened? Always tighten the HELL out of your shoes after you sprain it, it helps control the swelling.
is the ankle turning different colors?

yeaah i did my best to take care of it. i've had my share of ankle sprains..
theres a meet this sat? what is it?

but it was my right, as soon as i get out i tightened my shoes as tight as possible...on the way got some EPSOM salt and ice and soaked my foot in there...
20 min on ice, 20 min off...for a couple of hours..

then i've been taking ibuprofen the last couple of days for the pain and swelling..

i have the swelling under control, but there's still severe pain, but not bruising...i'm hoping its not bad though. just kinda worried because of the way i sprained it wasn't just roll my foot. i was on my toes when i came down on someones foot, so i rolled and turned it. and as it happened i heard/felt a pop...so idk

sounds to me like you know what your'e doing with an ankle sprain. Signs of a basketball player for sure. I remember doing all of that on numerous ocassions whenever it happened to me.

General rule is that if there isn't serious discoloration you probably didnt' tear anything.
never know though, just keep taking lots of IB and ice that as much as possible.
Also, elevate it when lying down.

yess siiir! i've had numerous severe ankle sprains..just havent had one this bad in years. but defintely, been playing for years. lol thats what i keep hearing from people, but you can never be sure.
