While we're on the subject:

- AccessPORT pwns ALL other engine management systems BUT for those of you who just want to monitor your car, datalog, or pull / clear codes, there is a much better (and cheaper) option.

I first bought my Scanalyser 3 years ago back when it was first coming out and was super expensive. I think I paid $300 for it.

WELL... times have changed and the Scanalyser has just gotten BETTER! A few months ago Hymee released a new USB version for only $99. I was one of the first to buy it and it ROCKS. Much faster, much cheaper, and does all the cool stuff you've come to expect.

I highly recommend that anyone with a laptop buy one of these.

Does the Scanalyser 3 have a display or does it have to be hooked up to a computer to just read codes?

never used the scanguage so not sure. The scanalyser needs to be plugged into a computer (ideally a lapotp)
It can monitor 6 different parameters at one time, datalog all 6, hell it even graphs it out for you on excel all at once.

for that price, it's a great tool that everyone should own.
