wert: k1 is fun for if you're just starting out go karting - we used to have biweekly meets on thursday to which we sometimes used to go to k1 afterwards. We also used to have k1 meets periodically - definitely a lot of fun for starting out.


mike: sounds legit, i might have to make a trip down there some time. I love gas powered karts now.

i've never tried gas powered karts...i wanna give it a try. all this k1 talk has caused an ad by google to display $50 for 3 races of 14 laps...

karting is fun. its just a different experience actually racing and being timed. i guess you could, but in a kart it does you no good to drift.

idk about k1 but at adams you can drift thats what my bro started doing once i lapped his ***

wert: yeah, you can drift but you're wasting time - it's a time attack. Sliding the karts at k1 will only work against you. Pitching them isn't so bad but full on sliding through it is not time effecient. Fun, but not effecient.

Also - just so you know - the k1 helmets are not vented so it's best not to completely close the visor. Just leave a small gap so air can come in and prevent your visor from getting fogged up.
