yeah dude i didnt mean to "flame" you, actually a lot of us have asked the same question before, soon realized its WAY easier said then done, well at least on the rx8 it is, to many damn sensors and whatnot BS, but its because of that our cars are so great and handle amazing.
Any of you guys have any knowledge of clutchless transmissions? I did the search but didnt really find much except people talking about it in 04.... Just wondering if anyone knows a company or anything that makes them.
I know it will be a crap ton of money, but I see it as a way to have my baby be manual while still saving my knee from the shifting madness that is Souther California Traffic.

^^^ taj tried doing that, i think??? you also need to change your gages + ecu....if you really wannna go manny, just trade it in...i REALLY dont know how much time+money its gonna be....
As for the manny... My giant american feet don't fit that well on the lil JAPan clutch pedal as well as my knee.
Taj, I would really appreciate getting to chat with you about it. I really have no idea about it just thought it might be an alternative to having to deal with a Clutch Pedal.
I already bought **** and have night class John =_='
Spartan, it is possible, I talked to alot of people who is capable of doing it
however, the cost will be about 5000$ for parts alone and about 1500$ for labor and custom fabrication, + miscellaneous = 7000$ give or take man

I am not 100% sure on it yet but I think it would be **** to have... I could have my manual fix and still have a knee when I'm 30.

But it is nice to not have to worry about it :D
^yeah...maybe
honestly, my first gripe about the A/T when i first got it was it's power - but now seeing my dyno's versus some of the M/T's - i don't feel soo bad.
my ONLY GRIPE IS THIS...
I DON'T HAVE TRACTION CONTROL!11111!!!11

Spartan, the thing is that you have a 4-Port engine. Even with a tranny swap, you won't be able to make much power. If possible, I believe that it's cheaper just to buy a 6-Port engine+tranny (be it MT or AT) and do the swap. That would be the cheapest route imo.
Of course, there's always the FI route though I've seen 230-240whp top with a 4-Port.

Hey, do you guys know where's there's one of those 24hr car washes aside from the one on lakeforest and the one in Costa Mesa? Gonna be a late night cleaning my car on Friday :D
John having the 4 port was also something I was considering. To be honest when I looked into getting my 8 I didnt realize there was a newer 6 port AT... that was my bad for not doing enough footwork before I got it.
I'm not sad with my car AT ALL... I love. And its not so much the power gain I'm looking for but the fun of having a manual.
