dude, if you guys haven't spent some times lurking other forums you guys are seriously missing out.

Where do you think Tilt got access to all those wheels?? Those burnt orange TE37's came from the evom forums ....seriously....take 10 minutes outta your day and instead of taking a **** - go check out what your options are. I promise you'll get a new perspective on things. Good wheels aren't as far outta reach as you might think....

IMHO only the 19" forged ones will be worth it..... but they probably want more $$ for those... and it would be nice to run some WIDER TIRES...... not too big of a deal... my wheels are 8.5 and are of similar design... difference is mine are CHROME and have a LIP...

Patience my friends....PATIENCE

take your time when you modify and DO IT RIGHT. It'll help you appreciate what you're building and insure that you don't take your car for granted.

Nikk Atilla does have a great point. Ya sure the cost of the wheels is gonna be $100 but then you gotta PC them. My buddy knows a lot of guys on the Evom forums and they dont always post thier stuff online. Lemme know what kinda wheels your looking for and ill ask around see if I can find some killer deals. I know once they sold some 18x9 advans for like 1500 with tires which were pirelli i think.

forums.evolutionm.net, zilvia.net/f/wheels-tires, and my350z.com are your best friend when it comes to used wheel shopping. I don't remember any talk of them on 8club before I mentioned those forums here but it sure has become more and more common. It's crazy how the wheel game has changed in the past year for rx8s, now so many people are about flushness and spacers!

The OEM infiniti wheels from the G do look pretty clean (the ones AngeloSE3P is running) and indeed trump our stock wheel setup. I'd be down for a set of those and rattle can them any color of the week I feel. As long as you prep well, take your time, and do some clear coats an at-home paint job will look pretty damn good

I doubt a legit set of aftermarket wheels can be had for the same price, G's are SO common so there should be tons of sets floating around. Hit up the G/infiniti forums :D

For some reason this pic made me lol. Looking in the background it looks like they're laughing saying, "Well, we set up ramps - why can't we push this thing to roll up??"

tilt you do have a point that your not going to get any aftermarket wheels for the price of the OEM G wheels...but why spend on something your only partially satisfied with....just save a bit more and get something you really want, unless you really do like the G wheels that much

If I'm on a budget, I'd rather get something that looks good than nothing at all. Not really sure on his situation but I think if he could afford $1500 wheels he wouldn't really be considering OEM G wheels in the first place, know what I mean?

honestly i heard about the zilvia forums when i had my old 240 (ages ago now) but i never put 2 and 2 together about the wheels - i always thought that the 240's ran a completely different spec from us (which is pretty much true) so i never thought about putting them on the 8's

but lo and behold we have some bravehearts out there.

i think the biggest surprise for me was the evo forums - i never knew the evo's wheel specs were so forgiving. the 1-9 evo's run moderate/conservative specs that work with our wheel wells and the Evo X is damn near perfect for those aiming for aggressive. I believe the 8's are coming up in their wheel game - i just pray we don't follow the exact same trend as the 240 crowd in some places

Mehhh, no way that can happen IMHO. rx8 shines brightly specifically in one area - handling (as we all know ) Because 240's are all about drift (well, 95% of them) the whole fitment thing with stretched tires works well. For rx8's, however, not so much. Not enough owners will go the direction of zilvia due to super aggressive messing with handling traits. For this next season I definitely want to have something more practical to track on, I dislike knowing I am not getting 100% what my machine has to offer. On the other hand, most of us aren't religious racers nor do we time ourselves to and fro in our daily commutes. I'm a bit unsure how I feel about the situation to be completely honest.
