it fits in that little recessed area and it actually doesnt move becaust it sort of rested against the rear strut bar it was all very snug, just looks like **** lol

yup I think it is more the speakers in the doors and along the roof

I run my HU with the two rear speakers off so I just have the two fronts running and the sub.

i know that roger but still it shouldnt rattle beside the plate, i know with the bose system the doors rattle especially the door handles so my fix once i put the sub in was leave the front speakers at 0 bass and it sounds crisp and no more rattle from the front doors, and the mirrors dont move as much

 

I get a little rattle from the doors. And I think from the license plate.

 

dynamat behing the plate, and between plate and frame, i gaurentee no rattle thats what i did in the jetta and it sounded so clean :D and some on the trunklid too

 

on the trunklid just were there are holes to save some dynamat

the 4080 box doesn't need anything to hold it in, it's such a tight fit that it doesn't go anywhere. HOWEVER, there is a small silver tab at the top of it that goes under the rubber seal that lines the top of the trunk.

go to my stereo thread and I'm sure there's a pic of the tab.
