I've got tons of resources available on my comp but it still sucks how much of it gets used by Vista.
can't wait to see how 7 is.

I'm breaking my cardinal rule though..
1. don't pay for an OS (which I will admit I broke when I bought Vista)
2. Never ever buy an OS the day it comes out, wait for the 1st Service pack.

I never pay for an OS... except for my Windows 7 Ultimate copy that I got for only $20 bucks thanks to my school .

7 is very stable so it's going to be a while until SP1 comes out. All the drivers are backwards compatible, I'm running a couple of Vista 64 drivers and they're all doing great.

john: how did you get the Ultimate through that student discount? My brother spent like 2 hours on the phone trying to get them to upgrade him to Ultimate (since he has Vista Ultimate) but all they are offering is the Professional.

 

I have no clue, my professor in the tech building said that they are selling it, I left the class, went to buy it, and went back to class.

It's pretty nice though.
