Well now I can just imagine how much talking it took to get you to Vegas It must have been some thing like "Can I go to?" You are always welcome.

It is unseasonably cool this year - in the past couple of weeks we have not had a day over 112. All you SoCal guys (and gals) be sure and bring a jacket nights are really cool (about 100).

The Arizona Mazda Club, in conjunction with the Mazda Owners Club of California and Vegas Mazdas, is organizing a Tri-State, SouthWest run on the weekend of October 11th/12th.
It starts in Laughlin, winds its way to Oatman and ends in Havasu.
Along the way are some crazy roads, wild donkeys, casinos and go-carting.

I will be there but I will not be driving my 8 up. I am going to take the opportunity to drop it off at the shop and have some work done.

Worst case scenario I will show up in a rental car but if someone wants to help save my pride I would be happy to do a ride along in another 8.

Well when we set this up we were going to have a general meet on Friday evening where everyone could introduce themselves and then make their own personal plans for the evening.

Saturday morning we were going to get together for a drive on the Lake Mead road and then have a late brunch together - By that time we figured that most would want time to themselves and arrangement could be made with new friends for the evening doing what ever.

As for the Agenda:

Friday Night: General Meet. Opportunity to meet people from Vegas, Arizona, and Ca

Saturday morning / afternoon: Drive out to the lake and lunch with some new friends

Saturday Night: Everyone is free to do their own thing but I"m sure some of us will still be hanging out together. Drinks? Show? Dinner? it's all on the table.

 

That would be fine, then we could exit a Lake Las Vegas and go to Lunch at the Fiesta buffet. That is inexpensive and then everyone could pick what they want lots of item on the buffet.

yeah, I've got 3 other RX-8's riding out with me right now. Working on 2 others but not sure if they'll be able to make it.
Looks like the cost of fuel scared off all the people that were originally intersted in this.

oh well, we'll still have fun!

 

Fuel is going down here - I saw it for $4.03 today - local guys think it will hit $3.95 and stop. That's high but look what other place pay. What the Cali price?

The quantity of people is not important. We will have such a good time that all those that chose not to come will be jealous of.

 

I think I filled up at about $4.70 this week.

 

Yep I get to chauffeur him up there. Another good time in Las Vegas.
