what's up people - spring is already pretty much in full swing and summer will be here sooner than later so why not open this up for discussion. This is primarily for us rx8 owners but i'm debating on letting it be an open meet since many of us have made the switch to piston pushing vehicles

i encourage any rx8club members that are viewing this thread to tag along and kick off spring/summer.


date: may 23, 2009
starting location: mazda headquarters parking lot, irvine
time: 10am sharp!
departure time: 30 minutes after start time
destination: huntington beach
directions: north on 405 => south on 133 => north on pch
exact destination: aiming for upper ground parking lot
price: may vary depending on duration of stay
activities: photo shoot at starting point and ending point, food, drinks, the usual beach shenanigans.
duration of entire meet: ???

important note: please bring cash
-there will be parking fee's and we will be eating at a restaurant - so to avoid confusion at the table - please bring enough money.

cruise details: due to the size of the attending group - we will be splitting up the caravan into 6 groups - each group ranging from 5-7 members each.

rules and code of conduct:
-no burnouts

-no speeding during cruise

-drive responsibly - there will be other motorists on the road trying to get to places - please do not block them. We are all headed in the same direction.

-avoid making unnecessary erractic movements through traffic

-very important: If you get cut off from one group - please do not attempt to catch up to your original group - simply fall back to the trailing group as speeding up might get you pulled over by chp.


photo ops:
there will be some opportunities for those who want it. I'm thinking about grabbing a group of us that want to take some shots like the one in my sig and line up right across the street.

though this is still being discussed - some members are bringing wood and some snacks for this - for the most part it will be a byos (bring your own ****) event and you will be only be responsible for bringing your own snacks and drinks - if you wish to participate, you are more than welcome. -please be aware - this meet will require us to relocate to another location down the beach where the pits are - so please be aware there will be another parking fee

UPDATE!

-FOOD: Ok so i talked to the people over at RUBY's diner and they said they can't hold reservations however if i call early enough they should be able to pull something. They open at 7 so i'm gonna call them around then to see if they can hold off the top floor for us. I'm currently coming up with a back-up plan

 

i wonder how much it would cost to get a small bb gun dent out of my car
