Afterall, he has won two national championships in a row...time to move up divisions...and make a 3-peat that much more impressive.

I think it would be fun to run BSP or SM but I am not interested in a having a trailer queen or spending all that money. If it was in the budget I would switch to an SS Porsche tomorrow, but I guess I will have to live with BS for now.
btw I am going to run BS at both event this weekend, AM run groups, so I dont have to spend all day out there.
See ya

Went down to SD this morning...to race with the Jason's. I just felt horrible about my times last month in Fontana, I was hoping to find my groove. Had some trouble with my car after going through tech....the guy was really thorough and tuugged on the battery tie down a couple times...and dislodged my grounding kit....car wouldn't start.
Ulllose helped fix that, and we also tightened up the squeaky belt....but I still was having problems with the car holding an idle. I was first run group, so I figured I would just go over to grid, and try to keep the car running the entire time...hopefully the idle would stay.
Sat for about 7 minutes and idle held on its own, and was stablized. Still think I should just scrap the grounding kit.....it has just been causing me too much grief.
I rant he fastest time in the 1st run group...and it even held through the second run group. I was feeling really good about the times....but then the Jason's ran in the third heat. Jason I beat my time by 3 tenths..and Jason M was behind me by less than 1 tenth....close runs today...it is nice to see that we all are running well.
I found my groove
Raw Times:
60.558
58.358
57.466
In using the Index conversion:
SM-raw time
BSP-.99
BS-.975
STU-.965
BSST-.94
My Fastest Time wo9uuld be 57.466 x 0.99 = 56.891

This means that you would be (55.706/55.706) x 100 = 100.000
I would be (55.706/56.891) x 100 = 97.917
Yeah, it was fun to watch that red beast....didn't sound very good though...the 8 is much more aggressive.

That was a fun course today, I sure wish all of my runs would have been in the dry.
74.748 100% damp course
71.824 75% damp, a few dry turns
71.161 50% damp, uphill turns were dry while most of the down hill turns and the start was still wet.
68.936 "instructor" run after lunch on a dry course in KW's car with Sno in the passengers seat. Big tires have lots of grip.

My three times for the day were:
71.649 Index time-70.932
71.155 Index time-70.443
70.341 Index time-69.637
Erica is working on posting some of the pics from today...
Just looked at the Index/car class adjustment times....using the 2007 Cup rules...Ulllose would have pulled out the victory today by 3 tenths....but, since this is the 2006 Cup Rules thread...I WIN

84.746 + stunt demo
73.233 +2
71.724
I was just showing the n00bs how to properly execute the "2 feet in" procedure for my first run. Notice how I parked it parallel with the cones. Congrats to Keith for picking up the 20pts for the first time and taking 2nd in the cup. I'm pretty "butt hurt" about losing my position to the conditions, but oh well.
It is me or did the pics I take come out blurry? I had no skillz with the auto-focus.

I guess it just makes everything even now....with the 20 points you got in my car last event
Casey ran well today as well....everything had to finish like it did today for me to squeek away with a one point win for 2nd.....I'm rather amzed at how things unraveled today...the weather was a factor that played a critical role in it all.
On to next year. I'll let you have 808, if that is any concellation prize?
Congrats to the champion....hope to see that static cling on your ride at each event during the 2007 cup season.
