Btw, I went to the Lexus meet today.. about 50+ cars... and the caravan there was a total mess. Some people drove super fast and others didn't wait. Just jumped on the freeway and ran off. I thought the caravan last year was pretty tight... a huge line of cars. If I can get a hand on a camcorder, I'll record the caravan from afar since I'll be the outsider anyhows.

Well they are actually pretty mature. No one was reving, acting like idiots... just driving fast on the freeway forgetting the group.

One thing though... lots of girls at the Lexus meets. Owners and passengers. I would say about 60% guys, 40% girls. Hmmm....

Lucky, most Rotary meets end up being **** fests.

 

I was thinking maybe it's because of the age range... but at the meet, most people were relatively the same... around mid twenties.

One guy was 17 driving a GS430... hmmm... Makes those threads about "Kids driving a 30k car on this board" seem frivolous. But he didn't come off as cocky... just said his family was "successful" and that it was a present. I thought to myself... dang, it sure doesn't sound like the kid on the RX-8 forum saying.."I own an RX-7 AND and RX-8".

 

hahahahah!!!! if its like that then thats totally fine, as long as if they dont come off cocky, they're ok in my book...but man, it would be nice to see more rx8 chicks.. =)

Hey I still miss my 8... I still think it looks nicer, interior/exterior. Engine though.. I'll be biased because my previous engine just blew. Kept stalling all the time.

After 2 + years of owning the 8... people still took notice of it. That just shows you how unique the car is.

I'll show you guys the gadgets in the IS... lots of wacky stuff. One negative is that it doesn't come with a MUTE button... oh how I miss the mute.

another buddy with an rx8 Nick, whos a member on the boards but i told him i would put him on the list. =) he's going with us as well

 

so did you option for the 2 subs, 14 speakers surround sound system?

 

I was going to get the model without the upgrade sound system, and even that sounded REALLY good. I never heard the Mark Levingson model, but I can't imagine how good it must sound.

 

Surround sound DVD... Imagine the first time you heard the sound for THX at the movie theatre. That's what the ML sound system sounds like compare to the regular sound system... which in itself isn't bad... just not as powerful and detail.

 

I bet that this thread will have 1025 posts by the time sevenstock 9 rolls around...
