obviously, i would've preferred a solid Apple logo color rather than the psychedelic 70's rainbow. but, they don't sell the static cling in any other color... and, it's better than having to use a razor blade to peel off the glue of real stickers if i ever need to remove it.

Yep, I was. As soon as my shift ends in about an hour for my parttime job I'm getting out of my pajamas into some real clothes so I can go fill out the additional paperwork necessary for the job at the hospital of my choice out of the current selection. It technically would have been my first choice out of any selection, or a close second to another hospital (but they only outsource ) but they have never had any openings when I have been looking for work. Fortunately for me that job only just posted yesterday so I doubt a whole bunch of people will have beat me to it already. I faxed the initial application and resume to them around 5 am (three hours before they opened) but thought it might be helpful if I actually went in to drop it off also. They called shortly after 9 a.m. and told me there is an additional additional form they would like me ot complete which can only be done when I go in anyway. Hopefully they get back to me pretty quickly. This place wanted FIVE character references, which seems like a ton compared to other applications I've seen. So, I spent part of the morning calling my favorite "grown-ups" from church and asked if I could use them. They all said sure and that they would give me really good recommendations if they bother to check. It also helps that one of my church friends is a nurse at that particular hospital so I got to use her as a recommendation also for the "referred by current employee?" section. Hopefully these people move quickly for interviews and hiring and that I will get the job. When I had gotten hired at the place that just laid me off it took them five weeks to finally hire me from the time I went in and interviewed and tested, six weeks from the time I applied. This parttime job I have now I have had for six years (used to be full-time with really good pay but company restructured and screwed over the employees). I went in, interviewed, tested, and got hired on the spot. I'm not the most patient person when I want something, LOL. Another plus is that the water at my house is finally working again so I can manage to shower befoer I go. It stopped for some reason yesterday afternoon and it took them all this time to fix it. It came on about 15 minutes ago.

If I get hired really soon and depending on my new schedule and wages and if they will let me have that weekend off, I will still make the trip, assuming I can still get a room at the hotel.

unfortunately my job requires me to use *******trying not to say ****** macs... (ay ya ya!) macs are cool i guess.

 

Yay! Kaiser called to offer me an interview and testing! They are calling back tomorrow with the exact day since the tester had already left for the day. Also turned in my application and resume and filled out additional forms at Willamette Falls today. They said someone would contact me in about a week.

 

not sure if i can make the caravan, but will you let me know if the meeting place changes? i look foward to seeing everyone's car and new mods.
