I have Faith! The faster we have a list the better we will know who to contact to remind them or update them on the next SS, even if it does get planned last minute. Thats the way I look at it at least.
Honestly, after SS people tend to let the foot off the "mod" pedal and kinda keep low for like the next 8 months. Then when there is only 4 months left to SS people rush their mods, dont finish them, install them wrong, or over spend. It shouldnt be like this! People need to know that right after SS they only have 1 year till the next one! Kinda like SEMA or w/e lol, have PREPARATION always in their mind!
I think that if we keep SEVENSTOCK in everyones mind the entire year, they will repeatedly think of the event and prepare for it (even if they dont do any mods). Our problem for SS was never to have Different cars with different set ups show up, that happens by itself, but I think the biggest problem was being able to get ahold of everyone and help them plan ahead for travel/work/finances for SS.
A lot of people do keep modding their cars but stay on the low about it. They dont even post on the forum much, and I think that is what MAKES THE FORUM SEEM DEAD and keeps driving members and new members away from the Club and having them turn around and trade in their 8's. If only they knew that the forum really isnt dead, I see everyone always lurking in the back but never posting. ****, post a goddamn smiley IDGAF really, breathe, do something. If you want to be secretive about your mods, fine! But at least let people know that you still exist and all that. A simple "i been working on my car" would be enough.
**** about Secret Mods gets leaked on and off the forum anyways.
Another thing is meets. If we let meets die down, the club dies down both on/off the forum. Recently the Corona Meet has been blowing up along with other off the radar meets, and that is what keeps this whole Rotary movement going, especially RX8's. The Corona Meet has a somehwat epic meet coming up next Sat 12-10-11, BE THERE!
I hope that one day MAZDA comes out and joins us again.
