Ahhhhhh! getting close! Crap, front tires for the new wheels haven't arrived yet, so scratch that plan..
still got tons of wires hangin out of the glove box, but the car pc is up and running vista.... sCANalyzer crashes though when I hit the gas pedal!!! Damn.
getting a new copy of iGuidance tomorrow to install. painter is showing up at 10'oclock tonight to drop off the rear bumper and side vents that just got painted (finally) a couple of hours ago....I guess those parts will have to dry on the way!
Fark, I need to get some sleep...thank god for the hotel near the cracker barrel...

weather update for you guys: Looking more and more like rain on Friday. I JUST checked www.weather.com and it's now up to 50% chance of scatterd T-storms in Irvine on Friday.
What time are you expecting to get into town? You're probably right about the bug splatters but bring some large microfiber towels and the rain MIGHT actually work to your advantage.
Good news is Saturday still looks really good! About 70 degrees and only 10% chance of rain

Hey man, no worries, the hotel I was referring to above was for thursday night in Phoenix, cause there ain't no way I am gonna be able to get up early enough to drive to Phoenix from Tucson, and still meet everybody at the cracker barrel on friday morning... I will be staying on the other side of the freeway on Litchfield.
Gotcha on the Rockblocker... thought it'd be easier to have it properly clearcoated, but this sounds like a viable option.
see you all in a few

Hey Wafer thanks for the offer! I'll be fine over at the hotel man, I need some wind down time, crashed out in a nice hotel bed. Next year I will plan ahead a little better and not be so stressed out and exhausted before SSXI....maybe we can pre-party up in Phoenix next year. Whole lotta crap going on at work too right now too, but I might just say F-it on thursday and stay home and work on the car. Rear bumper came out pretty nice (modified stock bumper) hope you guys like it. the EVO-R side vents on the other hand are painted nice, but man the fitment is embarrasing... i'll throw em on for the show, but I think it is time for some Accolade fenders. Oh well.

If anyone wants video of their car rolling down please see me Friday morning when I manage to drag my butt out of bed and over to the Crack-***** Barrel. With Tony riding shotgun I figured I'll be putting him to good use!

Had fun - great to see everyone and meet some new folks too. Home safe and sound, been scouring the site for pics while unpacking and getting caught up on laundry. A nice comfy trip out and back, and still had the better part of this afternoon to get things done.
Looking forward to Will's pics and vids. By the way, an 8 owner/8 driver without their 8, driving a Nissan Versa I think it was....in crazy traffic with a line of 7's and 8's = total hilarity! I was quite impressed with the performance you commanded outta that little car

I took a drastically smaller number of pics this year than last, simply because last year was my first. Two disappointing things I missed this year were AZLizard's sunlight silver Mazda showcase area, and joff's Pettit supercharger install. None the less, a few goodies for those of us in the caravan
RCCAZ getting all set at Cracker Barrel
2nd row of RCCAZ cars getting set for the caravan. There's a 3rd row behind this that I never got on digital for some reason
A (4th) row of reds representing RCCAZ
Lots of mods on this Ti including a camera installed via the 3rd brake light, all interior/exterior lighting has been changed, smoked lenses and (unknown) modified rear spoiler
The plate says it all. One of several gorgeous FD's that made the caravan on this trip.
Flashwing's 8 in motion. It's always fun watching 8's up close and personal on the road, since we never get to see our own!
Abbid, aka REPOST made the caravan this year
Nice blue! This was Glenn in Fountain Hills, right?
AZLizard in his SS and more RCCAZ caravaners making the trek, before we hit the rain...
Karl's newly painted 7 (thanks MazdaManiac!) looks fantastic, and was just in time to make SS-X
Filling up for gas on the way out. Now there's a surprise.
Obviously the Kabura was showcased. I do like it better in person. Just not sure it'll ever really happen. None the less it has some sex appeal.
Notice how the center console is tilted toward the driver
Digital speedo is in the center solid portion of the steering wheel along with a few other indicators. Cool enough idea
SwtBlnde's mirage badges and custom painted engine cover drew a lot of interest in the staging area before the show, and during the SS-X show itself
The terrible twosome
This was the only picture of a driver that turned out of the 8-10 or so that I shot. Oh well... Hi Karl

9am Sunday morning departure for 7 or 8 of us, including RCCAZ1 in his Enterprise van this trip. Apparently some folks were in a hurry to get home
Say BYE-BYE for 2007 and look forward to an even bigger and better SS-XI in 2008!

I was fortunate to be able to hang with a few of the Arizona Clubs members and was impressed with the comradely, friendliness and commitment of the members. We in Vegas are few but I hope as we grow we can emulate your club. Thanks for treating me as you all did.

It was an awesome time, got to hang out with some many incredible people.
Pools and SWT, so good to sit around and drink beers with ya.
Pools you may have missed the superchanger install but I got it all on camera for ya, enjoy.

Original Turbo 'd Auto !!
iT was good to meet you Phil. When you do get to Phx, Winter months are better bucause we have more drives. Nice to meet you Joe and nice ride. I the look of the Foward looking camera.
The blue 3rd gen lost it right headlight cover, and Cw sepperated a tire before getting to Cracker barrel, and my turbo intake pipe came off the TB before I reached Cracker barrel, that was an easy fix..
Did we have any other issues this year?
nothing like doing an install in the rain.
Sooooooooooooo
Jessie and Lynn. How was the ride back home? Any issues?
