sorry to change the subject... but, does anyone know what the stock exhaust tips outlet size (inches) is for our cars?

i found a website that has aftermarket exhaust tips for the 8- ie tips that supposedly simply fit over the stock ones and clamp down with a screw. but, the documentation is a bit vague, and i'm wondering how they can possibly fit perfectly over the stock exhaust tips if they sell them in diff sizes. (they go from 3", 4", and even 6" ones).

here's the link:

detrich is confused...

The inlet on the tips should be 3.5" to fit on the stock exhaust.
The outlet is the different size.

haveing larger tips for a fraction of the cost of a new exhaust is nice but would nt you like to hear a differnt tone out of the exhust as well detirch?

2 tips = $140
1 exhaust = $550 (and possibly lighter)

I think they need to be tight to fit underneath their uniforms...Would be funny to think they are running around freeballing....or in boxers.
