I have off this week!!!! and look I am up at 4:45 in the morning.... no not because I am still partying, but because I cant sleep. damn dogs are barking at something, I cant figure it out, Cats are acting strange, The Jolapeno Pizza I had yesterday is showing me who is boss now, and Michelle is getting a little tired of being woken up. (I dont blame her)....

At least I get to spend some quality time this morning with Rodeo and Orange Kitty sitting here with me. (daisy....... yeah she is around here someplace)

i spent $150 on one of those high-end dog bark suppressors- pointed at my neighbor's dog... and, it didn't do jack ****. the ****** must be deaf, stupid, or just completely insane... the ****** would bark all day and wee hours into the night. sometimes all night long and always at the crack of dawn around 5am...

don't get me wrong, i love dogs and play with my sister & bro-in-laws lab whenever they bring her up. but, this neighbor's dog was freaking nutso insane beyond...
we've gone up there and politely asked them a half a dozen times if they could maybe put their dog indoors at night. and, each time they basically politely said to **** off.

i went around and collected signatures in the neighborhood and filed a formal petition with the city to enforce an injunction against them for violating city ordinance of noise disturbance. and, that finally made those ******* neighbors to realize that their dog is seriously disturbing the entire neighborhood.

i hate the "sue happy" nature of our legal system in general. but, it's nice when it works. =)

 

I am an animal lover, but when it comes to barking dogs . . . . I have no tolerance.

If you have a homeowners association, they will ticket them about $100 every time they get a complaint.
You can also call the cops after 10pm every night for a week or so. Say they must be hurting the dog, cuz it sounds like it is in pain. Once you have a couple police reports about it, then call the ASPCA and get the dog taken away from them.

I have fought this battle many times, and won.


Or you just inject about 3 ounces of coolant in to a piece of meet and chuck it over the fence. But I am not in to hurting the animals, I would rather deal with the owners

 

the way i see it, pets are basically a reflection of their owners. a fucked up pet = a fucked up owner. a well-mannered pet means that their owners have given them the proper care, love, and/ or training to behave. animals that are out of control mean that they have either been neglected or their owners aren't putting in enough time with them.

i'm not insensitive. but, it's not my problem that they don't have time or energy to care for their animals. and, frankly, if they won't do it, then they shouldn't have the pet to begin with. if it causes a problem with the neighborhood/ community, then at least they should have the courtesy to address the problem.

Just because they bark wouldnt imply a 'fucked up owner". The owners are just jerks, so it is time to deal with them . .

but in the dogs defense ; certain breeds such as Alsations and Shephards(dutch/german/or other) and BEAGLES have a tendency to bark. They bark at peope, htye bark at other dogs, they bark at the cars, they bark when they see a light . . .etc. There is almost no way to prevent it. I have seen several dogs respond well to the silent whistle though. hint hint.

 

I hate barking dogs as well. as a whole my daogs are very good about it. better then any other dog around. but every now and then they (well mostly just one of them) does what he did last night. a lot of dogs were doing it, I almost wonder if there was a cyote or something around.

yeah teh factory rear spoiler is what is going on. in CSP (like BSP) you can not put an aftermarket wing on (go figure) the Mazdaspeed wing I had on my 8 was illigal.

 

I would like to see what you could do with the whole Miata thing.
