just a little more info regarding chairs, coolers, tents, easy-ups
I usually take a chair and a small cooler with me for most outdoor meets and would suggest you guys do the same.
Not sure about the easy-ups or tents. We probably dont need one but if someone wants to bring one just let me know and I can get your registration updated to reflect that under special accommodations. Hmmm, now to figure out how to fit one of those in an RX-8.
Also, I'm trying to get clarification regarding the "on the grass" comment. Not sure if some of the cars will be parked on the grass.

Tents are fine as well as chairs and coolers. No alcoholic beverages of any kind "on the grass".
If you are planning on having a tent over your car, please let me know when you register under the special accommodations section of the form. otherwise, just make sure the tents are staked down.

tents might be a good idea, question is:
- who has them
- can they fit in our cars

jedi: that thing is a good idea but a PITA sometimes. Especially if its gonna be hot. 
I have one small EZ up tent that's really compact (just a lil' smaller than those ez chairs we always bring. The thing is it's pretty beat up n' may not provide much shade as the sun sets. That's why i was asking about a tent w/drop down walls...iirc, screamn said he had one that he was gonna bring out to either this meet or mazfest

I know, I was just messin' with ya. The carport I posted is way too big to put in our cars, maybe if this meet were closer to 'home' we could have some ready for us.
I was looking on Sports Chalet and REI and they both sell shades you can attach to a canopy and they're fairly cheap.
