Rust on my Rx-8 and more...
so... the other day i was washing my car... and noticed that water was getting into the rear passenger tailight somehow (condensation).
then... i opened my trunck to clean it, and noticed that the the metal that holds the trunck lid down is rusting... so i contaced my dealer, and set up an appointment... I just dropped it off at the dealership at 9AM the service rep told me that their going to have to change the taillight, and for the rust they are going to have to ship the car out (to Mazda painting I think) and repaint the car....
I'm so worried...

Update:
I contacted the dealership at 12PM (the day I dropped it off, 3 hours later) and they told me that they're removing the lid of the trunk and cleaning the rust to see if it's coming from the car... or because water is just sitting there.
at 4PM (the same day) they called me and said that I can pick up the car. so the shuttled arrived to pick me up at 4:30.
I was at the dealership by 5PM
the final verdict:
-They ordered the replacement taillight (for the condensation). they said it should be there within a couple of days. and they will contact me when the part comes in.
-they removed the lid of the trunk and cleaned the "rust" and it dissapeared... saying that water could be just sitting there (i will post pics of the spot) and that it might just need a cleaning every once in a while.
so now, I'm waiting for the replacement taillight to come in, then I'll have to take it back down there for replacing. and thankfully they did not have to ship the car out for the "Rust".

Rust or oxidation? They look similar but are very different.

to me.. it looks like rust... but i'm not too sure what oxidation is...
and yes, pics will be coming tomorrow.
okay.. so now... I just noticed that one of their screwdrivers were left in my car, and one of the little push-in screws that hold the trunk "cloth" in place was not put back in.
NOW I'm mad.... taking care of the problem is one thing... but doing a half assed job and leaving your tools in the car is another.
this is TOTAL BS.
AND THE RUST IS STILL THERE
ps. I'm trying to shrink the pics atm.

neither of them are small enough :/
Use Adobe Photoshop starter edition 2. Its free. You basically load the pics in to the software, and e-mail them to yourself(via Share). It automatically reduces the pictures for e-mail purposes. Once you get your e-mail, save the smaller sized pics on your computer, and now they will be ready for upload.

I hope we're the only two with this problem.

Thanks.
