I used to own an 8, but now I am a FD driver, some of you may remember me, but as you know we are having a big Rotary Fest meet on the 24th and over on RX7club.com we have caravans happening from all over so I'd like to invite all the RX8club.com members to come to the caravan too.

This is for the South Bay Area members. Although nothing is set in stone, most of the members want to meet in Milpitas Square, I'm thinking around 11:30ish wait 10-20 minutes and then go and head up to the meet with whoever we have.

For those who are interested please go ahead and make a post. We have 3-4 FD's so far interested in the caravan and I'm hoping to get a few more plus whoever wants to come with us from RX8Club.com

If this thread could become a sticky, that would help out a lot. I'll keep everyone posted, hope to see you all there.

It looks as though the guys coming up from SoCal/SLO are going to be coming the same way we are so we are trying to get a time where they will be in the area and they will be able to meet up with us in the Milpitas Square. Should be a pretty big caravan if they meet up with us.

i'll have photographers waiting at the treasure island exit to take pics of the caravan. I'm hoping that there will be people doing this in the caravan as well. If we can get some video footage, i can try to organize a dvd for people to purchase of the meet.

Here is a map of the place and the circle is McDonalds. You can see the parking lot is easier to find and not as spread out.

I wonder if we should make a pitstop somewhere along the way to see if there are others interested in joining the caravan...

We are supposily meeting up with the so-cal rx7 caravan there hopefully around that time. The guy said they are leaving so cal around 5a.m. and then going to be in gilroy by 9ish and they are going to have breakfast for an hour or so, and then hopefully be in milpitas by the time I said.

I'm thinking if they make it to Gilroy by 9, eat for an hour or more so they leave Gilroy by 10:10-10:20ish take about how long to get to Milpitas? another hour or two? That makes it them getting there around 12:30ish. If we meet there at around 12:00 or 12:30, wait 20-30min for people who are late and the So-Cal caravans leave Milpitas by 1. Is that fine with everyone?

I'm aiming for 12:30. That should give the So-Cal carvan enough time to get to Milpitas without having to rush their breakfast or anything, and we can get something to eat at the Mcdonalds there for lunch while those running late show up. How's 12:30 sound with meeting and then leaving at 1?

Since you seem to be in charge of the caravan, I'd suggest getting 2-3 of the SoCal people's phone numbers, just in case anything happens.

The So cal crew is saying that we should meet there at 11:30, eat/meet for 30 minutes, and then leave by 12. So for now, the new meet time is 11:30a.m at that McDonalds there where we will eat and meet each other for 30 minutes and then leave at 12ish to the meet.

To the top, more 8's are wanted, we have about 10 7's coming from the area, and then the ones coming from the so cal caravan meeting up with us.
