just ha dthe idea of a 3m adhesive application that would just sitck on the glass and could be removed later if desired. Similar to mirror covers.

may look funny from the inside tho.

that defeats the purposed tho, a cf sun roof replacement would reduce weight because the glass is heavy

Yeah, I wouldn't see much point in it (just overlaying), myself.

yeah it would be only for looks, but seriously the OEM CF hood isnt much lighter than the Stock OEM hood if at all. Not to mention my CF B pillars just add weight along with the mirror covers, fuel door cover, dashkit, lip spoiler (soon to be added), etc. All just adds weight. My car is an AT and I have 15+ citations so speed isnt my game as of late.

How is a CF hood "not" much lighter. If it's made correctly, it should be at least about 20% lighter. Not bashing, just confused. CF weight much < metal or glass.

But anyhoo: If you want just a CF overlay for the Sunroof, that's extremely easy to make and much cheaper. PM me, if you want me to mess with it.

wrexx, the rx8 stock hood is made from aluminum, and doesnt weigh much in the first place, and most rx8 cf hoods are actually fiberglass with a cf overlay,

and i dont know about others, but i'd be much more interested in a full cf sunroof replacement as opposed to just an overlay, since theres no real point in adding cf parts if they dont reduce weight, and i think on the roof would probably be the best area on a car to reduce weight,

Ah. I didn't realize our hoods where aluminum, heh.

I'd never make a major part with FG sandwiched between CF. There's better ways of doing it (IMO).

Agree with a complete replacement, versus an overlay. Some people just want "the look", I suppose.
