Everyone,
Looking out the window this morning, the fog is thick as soup down here in the South Valley, but I'm still planning to fire up the rig and head up to the departure point once it gets light. Rain is supposed to hold off until this afternoon, so individuals can decide whether they want to proceed up to Wickenburg or just drop off their gift and call it a day. No harm either way. Just want to make sure that the kids get their presents!!
Hope to still see everyone there between 9 and 10 a.m. this morning!
Tim
P.S. If you don't want to drive your rig, just come up in an alternative vehicle anyway and drop off your gift.

Everyone,
Thanks to those who made it out Sunday to the Toyz for Totz holiday toy drive. The weather was cold and damp, but the cause was definitely worthy. I was proud of RCCAZ! As a club we had 6 RXs show up... probably the BEST club representation at the event, given the washout conditions. For those who are wondering... yes, I did drive my 7 in the rain (OMG !!!). It was great meeting Mny Rex (Ryan) and his copilot (sorry, but his name escapes me).
Thanks to the Wongs, Urchin (and Carol), Mny Rex, Rob Murray and 09 Factor for braving the weather and staying warm in the club huddle (next to the BBQ grills). That darn smell of BBQ brats in my pullover made me hungry all day. Next up... our New Year's Day run to the top of South Mountain followed by indoor carting at F1 Race Factory!
Several of us have expressed interest in a day run to Tortilla Flats the week between Christmas and New Year's Day. Stay posted to this thread for more details as things develop!

Everyone,
A few of us Gen 3 owners (nothing organized) are heading impromptu to the Scottsdale Pavillions tonight. Probably be there between 5 and 7. Stop over and look for us down Home Depot row!

From RCCAZ:
Everyone,
Join us for our second annual New Years Day run to the top of South Mountain
and racing at F1 Race Factory. We'll be planning to meet at the Phoenix Zoo
parking lot around 1 p.m. From there we'll cruise to the top of South
Mountain on their newly repaved roads. For those who remember the
jaw-pounding asphalt from last year it should be nothing but smooth sailing
this year as we carve up the twisties entroute to the towers on top of South
Mountain. Then we'll conclude the afternoon by cruising to F1 Race Factory
(just South of Washington on 48th Street) for some cart racing at 3 p.m.
Thanks to everyone for making 2004 another fantastic club year. Looking
forward to bringing in 2005 with you at F1.
Have a GREAT Holiday Season!!
Tim
Any 8's going to be rhere?

Looking forward to seeing everyone there. Hopefully I'll get my pics from JGTC posted today to RCCAZ.com. All I can say is MAN.... everyone who didn't go missed one h@ll of an event. All the top Japenese JGTC drivers were there, NASA had organized track rides with their drivers, so you could go for rides in Gen 3 RXs, Ferraris, Lotuses, etc. Then when you were done with your ride, you could go and sign up to Autocross using one of about 5 cars that were supplied by Cali dealerships. They had an RX-8, 350Z Fair Lady, Sentra GTR, among others, and I saw a few guys FLYING around the autocross course. Of course, this was all FREE with your paid admission. Really one of the best weekends I can remember for the $66 I paid for admission.
Boxcar.... hope you can make it. I know that we met at Perkins that one Saturday and I'm glad that you'll be joining the group for 2005. 09 Factor, yes, I'll do my best to try and remember to bring the RXTuner mag, and Pret... I'm curious to know who told you that I autocross my Miata. I've owned it for less than a year and have NEVER autocrossed the car, so someone must have me mistaken for another driver. Anyway, I'm hoping to make it to the event on Jan 16th with my FD. I need to get a couple of months of race results in before the heat hits.
Shannon... no problem if you don't want to race at F1, but please still come and cruise with us up South Mountain and hang out to watch racing at F1 if you have time.
See you all on Saturday at the Zoo!

Oh you didn't miss much. Only 12-14 rotary cars showed up...no big whoop I don't have one pic with everyone's cars unfortunately. 8's representing today were Pret, Boxcar, Urchin, Poolside. 2 red, 1 black, 2 Ti's.
Edit: I can't remember who the 2nd red 8 was

09 Factor,
Yea, couldn't figure out what happened to you? Weather turned out to be incredible, racing was fun, and I got the rear wheels of my FD off the ground coming down South Mountain (usually a good indicator that you need to SLOW DOWN) :D
Anyway, had the RXTuner issue along and was chomping at the bit to show you your shots. Oh well, maybe later in January. Most who attended are hoping for a run to Tortilla Flats before the end of the month. More details (and pics from today's event) to follow late next week on rccaz.com.
Also, the club welcomed a new member yesterday (Boxcar). Great to have another 8 in the fold. Missed hanging out, but sometimes life happens. Hope to see you at our next event!

Original Turbo 'd Auto !!
Well saturday started out right. Washed the car rotated the tires, and cleaned the rims. Right before I was going to leave the driveway, the day just went to pot!
Sometimes life is like this. Yes Tim let us know when and where.
How many here have problems with a Sunday drive instead of Saturday?
