i didnt grow up around here but settled for about 4 years. ALHS was were my daughter was going to go to school but we moved to north fontana so not it is etiwanda. how is reno compared to here?
Reno vs Rancho Cucamonga:
Weather - Reno is cooler in the summer (but still in the high 90's) -- much colder in the winter (snow is included, sometimes).
People - it is a mixed bag. Where I live the people are well-off and the schools are very nice. However, there are many areas that are simply poor-white-trash (no offense intended to anyone). A friend of mine explained it like this: "Reno is a very transient city and transients don't usually bring money or stability".
Recreation - if you enjoy outdoor activities (and I do), Reno is one of the best places to live. My wife and I take our kids to Lake Tahoe about 3 times per month in the summer. We go hiking in the forests about once per week. We go fishing every few months. Lots of mountain biking trails. There are about 6 large lakes within 45 minutes of our house (and you can swim in them).
