Phoenix Metro Twisties

South Mountain is great, but you should do it on a weekday evening. The rest of the time its packed with blue-hairs in Buicks.
I run it almost every week on Tuesday. Trying to shave a few more seconds off of my ascent time.
Tortilla Flats (out near Apache Junction) is fun. There are also a bunch of weird roads in Gold Canyon.
There are some good spots up in Fountain Hills, too.
There are some "neighborhoods" that I am not going to give away since it is, technically, street racing.
I'm trying to pin point that in my head chicken. I swear I've driven it but don't remember twisties. Seems like I remember some mild dips and ascents though?
Yah South Mtn is a good time. The drive out to Tortilla Flats (Canyon Lake) is pretty hard to beat. Ya gotta go WAY out past East Mesa to get there though. Otherwise it's the good old drives up to Prescott, Jerome, Sedona, Oak Creek Canyon, and also out by Payson etc.

Then again, all the soccer moms in their Ford Excavations, blasting from the entrance ramp and over to the left lane to virtually park in one move while they are on the phone can "create" twisties on a perfectly straight section of highway!
^^ Agreed 100%!!
Poolside- I take Pima north to Happy valley rd, nothing exciting there. Then Happy valley to Alma school to work. Not too exiting, just a lot of hills. But If I go north on Alma school to Dynamite to the Walgreens, that road has a bunch of twists and hills. Of course, any kind of turn is a major twist thanks to the nice grid we have here. So getting out of the grid just makes it more fun

I'd advise bringing a radar detector if you haven't driven it before, but the run out 60 to Globe is good, the best part is right after Superior - easy to do over 100 on the curves through Devil's Canyon. Cop watch: right after the two lane merges at Oak Flats and next to Carlotta Mine turn-off (right after the really high bridge). I haven't driven it yet but after Globe to Show-Low is supposedly really good too...
Yeah but the Globe to Showlow is cop central pretty much around any corner, and just outside of most small towns, and I would say deer Valley road between 7th st and cave creek road was always great fun till they flattened it out, sad times.
