Rotary Rasp....I just completed the install for my Ipod today. I went and purchased the PIE converter, and the PIE to 3.5 auxilary cable. I don't have any music loaded into my Ipod yet, so I don't know how well it works...but I am able to get the "EX1" channel when pushing the "CD" button twice. Pretty easy plug and play installation...it was just that the radio was a pain to remove because of that darn secret bolt that hidden way back in the dash. Maybe I can show it to you at one of our OC meets in the future. Not a carputer..but more my style given I have no patience when it comes to trouble-shooting/fixing computer problems....thanks again for the info/show'n tell last month. Again, it was very helpful.

Great meet today in the SGV guys! It was awesome to see such a great turnout of both 7's and 8's. Lots of variety fo sure I hope to get some pics posted come next week if I get the computer working correctly. Maybe get some more love from the OC....

Nah. Just more research. I posted a couple updates on my carputer site.
I'm going to have to put the initial purchases off for a few more weeks due to some unsuspected financial things. Though, even then, it will just be the basic stuff I need to get the system running. Writing the software, getting the cameras, running the wires, etc. I think is going to take me awhile. I'm planning this being at least a 3 month project once I get the basic system. If the software ends up being a bitch to write, it might be much longer.
But, it'll do exactly what I want when I get done...

He's having MAJOR transmission problems!
Went to the dealership and they said the tranny fluids looked black and liquidy (sp?)
Last I heard was that they wanted his permission to drop the tranny and do a full inspection. The dealership has somewhat insinuated that it might be due to vehicle abuse... if that is what they find when they drop the tranny, they're sticking him with a HUGE bill for the inspection.
I'll try and find the thread...
