New In Town And Need A Shop

Hi, i just moved here from TX and i live in Chula Vista San Diego now and i have an 05 RX-8 and i am having some problems with it check engine lite on and steering lite on and off at times. I've gone to several shops around and all of them but one said they don't work on these cars. The one shop that did tell me they can fix my problems said it will be double rate per hour just because it's a rotary car and parts are super hi. I don't want to take it to the stealer if i don't have to because they will to sell me a new motor and more. So you any of you guys in the chula Vista/San Diego area know of a good reasonable rotary shop that i can take my car to to get worked on? Thanks

Ok, thanks for the couple of replies. I was told by someone that Jim's rotary shop in El Cajon is a well knowledgeable guy on our cars. Has anyone taken there car there before? If so is it worth the chance for me to go to him? Thanks

sorry 2fst4me, I was hoping someone from SD would chime in.
If you're feeling up to a little drive, definitely check out NeptuneSpeed in Huntington Beach, that's where the majority of us take our cars and you'll be in EXCELLENT hands.

Thanks guys for the help. But i checked out a guy that was refered to me by someone on another thread this morning. His name is Jim at Jim's rotary shop in El Cajon. I love this guy. He is very knoledgeable on rotary engines and cars and he's even certified. He is extremly inexpensive and very honest. I put him through the test. . He's a super nice and knowledgeable guy. I Googled his shop and found his website. Thanks for the shops in LA area. I'll keep them in mind if i'm ever stuck up there. but for now i would rather take my car local. Yaaa, no more stealer.
