WA moving to AZ

hi all! I am planning a move to the Phoenix AZ area, does any one have a preferred mechanice / dealer there?

I know in my home town there are several dealers that i would recommend NOT to go to.

is there any RX8 clubs or activities?

also this will be a climate change for me and the car, so is there any advise on how the hot weather will effect my car differently than im used to from a city of 4 seasons?

any advise is greatly appriciated!

Thanks guys!

There are a few good dealerships.
Berge Mazda and Chapman Mazda

as for clubs we have Azmazdaclub.com and RCCAZ. Each car will vary in the Az heat. but for a stock NA, you should be ok.

Ahhh chick ... totally ... go to BHR

Charles Ray Hill is a seriously good mechanic and a all round good guy.
He runs Black Halo Racing, and to my knowledge nobody has ever disputed his effort to go out of his way for his customers.

edit:
Can you say BHR Coils and Nitrous?

It depends on the source. From a stealership you could be looking at $4k +
From the cool Dude in the trunk pic above, he will not jerk you around.
He also makes a mean rebuild.

There is also Mazmart. This is his screen name on here as well. They have the best engine builder hands down. but cost a little more. Shoot a PM at either one and they will get you taken care of. .

Best wishes on getting MNAO to take care of you current engine.

What issues are you having with it?

u guys r too funny!
thanks for all the info

i will be going to see the dude in the trunk lol
where at in AZ r u located?

my first engine had low compression issues and was replaces around 63000 miles, which i had to complain to the dealer several times to get them to admit it, (this was after an independant shop told me it had low compression)
then almost immediately after the replacement the oil light began to come on and off randomly.
I called the dealership service dept who told me that is normal and the manufacturer has a print out he can give me....
so 2 years into this engine, i start having the same issues, with slow starts, low power, and some new effects of noise/knocking sound at high RPMs or entering freeway, a rattle sound when car is in reverse, oil pressure and temp gauges are freaking out for loss of a better term....
yes i know the oil pressure gauge is not real..lol
but it is still freaking out!

Mazda dealership of course tried to blame me but i do use premium gas only, change oil regularly (3000 miles) and use the correct oil, i top oil off regularly as well.

i need to contact mazda today to see if i can get anywhere with them.

so Charles Hill~ how much for a rebuild or replacement for my pretty red RX8?
