So, I missed last month's meet at In-And-Out, and I feel really bad. So bad, in fact, that I MOVED to LA... well, not because I felt bad, but I did move.

I'm still learning the area (Melrose, Santa Monica, Beverly, Vine, etc.), but driving here is so much more fun than in Alabama.

At any rate, I look forward to meeting up with everyone in the future.

On a side note, are radar detectors illegal in CA?

I bought the V1 about a month and a half after I got the '8, and did a hardwire install (I posted a DIY for the fuse adaptor towards the end of the V1 hardwire thread in the DIY forums). No problem there.

Clear corners are... well, they are really called side markers. They are the amber lights on the fenders by the wheels. AFAIK, most states require amber side markers if they are present. So, you'll have to get amber bulbs for them. You can get the clear side markers at just about EVERY rx-8 parts store online (I suggest checking the respective forum sponsor's websites) and the "chrome" amber 194 "stealth" bulbs from autolumination.com.

Thew, if I can either talk the GF into making the trip or ditch her for a day or so, I'll make the drive. After I get settled, I'm going to see the sights, as it were. Hopefully, the work-at-home thing will pan out, and I can take off at my leisure.

 

clear corners is basicallly the turn signal lighting.... if you get clear corners... the amber part of the signals become white..... for the rx8... we have clear side markers... which is on the side of the front headlights.... dunno if this answered ur question .... :p

pshaw I wish... actually I'm a 50-50 on whether I should go to the Con or not. So far I have found out that Sarah Michelle Geller (Buffy), Jessica Alba, Jaime King, AND Kristen Kreuk will be there... ack.. the last one nearly clinched it. But the fact that Corey Haim and Corey Feldman is going to be there... ack! I'm tempted.

Jessica Alba is there to promote Frank Miller's Sin City movie coming out... dang it.. oh and the cast includes Michael Madsen, Bruce Willis, etc...
