I just sent a letter to the Great Mall's Operations Manager asking for his permission to meet on the top level of the parking garage as well as permission to take photos/videos. If we get permission I'll then contact security and provide them with a copy.
Stay tuned for more breaking news.

I'll be sure to make it out someday to this meet, but just asking in advance, does anyone have the Rotary Performance High-Cat Pipe or any other type of midpipe on their 8? In the mean time you can just checkout my car domain page lol

Hiya all would any of Bay Area rx8's be interested in a chowder run? Either monterey wharf for chowder or maybe Santa Cruz boardwalk wharf? Both places would be fun to cruise around in your 8. I was thinking a good date would be Sat May 21. Oh yeah i am Piscesrull and have an 05 titanium grey grand touring pkg Rx8 and really new to the boards and ya'all. this is just an idea and still i would like to check out D&B in the great mall with everyone

If I'm in town that weekend I'll go. Don't need to twist my arm!! I should know my May schedule by the end of the week. :D
At the last D&B get together we threw around a couple of ideas for drives etc.
I'm open for just about anything.

At the last D&B meet I suggested a run from San Mateo up to Skyline, down to Highway 9 and into Santa Cruz. That suggestion of Piscesrull's would make for a great lunch stop, say on the warf. Then back to Highway 1, run up the coast to 92 or even further, say to Pacifica. I'm good for it on May 21.
My second suggestion for a fun stop half way on Skyline maybe ought to be put off a month to insure a little better weather. All in favor say EYE.

EYE am. :D That is a good weekend too.
Has anyone ever driven on Carmel Valley road? I took my baby for a short (LOL, 280 miles) spin the other day, wanted to check it out and it was flooded and by that point I didn't feel like trying to find my way around the closed area of the road so I gave up and just drove back home via highway 1 and 9. I can't believe my car is barely a year old and it has over 22K on it, this car is way too much fun to drive!!! :D

Loaded, every year I organize a Day After Thanksgiving Run on Harleys (others are welcomed too...js). The ride is from San Jose's back road through Almaden Valley, over Hecker Pass (152) into Watsonville and down to Monterey. We then head back to 101 via Carmel Valley Road. Most of it is very good riding, but there are a few pot hole sections as well as single lane 1st gear hairpins. It ends up on 101 down around Soledad. Its an all day drive, great views and can be very isolated. I'd be willing to do one.

I can't make the May 21s thing, my friend is graduating from Chico. Since the summer is coming up, I was thinking we can try to have a meet and greet for all Mazda's. Try to plan out a BBQ sometime in June or July. It would be a lot better than the normal D&B thing, and would also give everyone a chance to socialize, ans share ideas. What do you all think? Not sure about locations, but I know some parks in hayward, fremont, and castro valley.

I still say an autocross event would make a great place to have an RX-8 gathering. Meet other car enthusiasts, watch drivers on the course and even get rides with them. I've seen two or three regular autocrossers using RX-8s so you can even see the car in action. The next event is on the 12th near Berkeley and then the 19th near Monterey.
