Hey Guys, thx for ther lookout,

UPDATE:

Police found my vehicle and has since been recovered.

Vehicle went missing 1.8.2011 and was found 2.4.11

My vehicle was being driving in the san fernando/mission hills area, the suspect violated a traffic law which caused the police officers to pull him over, they ran his plates and it came up stolen.

THe suspect pulled over and then took off running,
helicopters and police dogs were called in and he was found.

Unfortunately nopt only did I have to wait 4 days before I could recover my vehicle back from the police, but I had to pay 370$ in impound fees.

Sucks being a victim.

Not only that but My Blanket, (thick blue indio-american made blanket),
my Black JOrdans I use for sports and hiking,
my backpack weith journals, personal notebooks and a book i was writing to my son, as well as bank information (my job) and other papers and pens were missing.
I had a good radio/cd-mp3 player in my car, that was gone

a few components were torn and a few electrical issues.
Other than that the car is great running condition and I have it back, I am so HAPPY

TWITZOG,
I crashed the RX8 back in the end of December,
I was on the freeway driving back from the 118, to the 5 South (LA)
an suc clipped me as they tried to merge onto my lane,
my tires were almost completely bald which caused the vehicle to fishtale, and spin out,
the vehicle hit at about 69-70 mph the freeway wall, rear end first.

Frame was bent.

Until now the Insurance had estimated repairs at 6,000$ but the body shop estimated the repaiurs at 11,000$ so the insurance is totaling it

dang, that sucks. im not too sure how a situation like this works, but when ever a vehicle is stolen, is it always the owner of the vehicle responsible for the impound fees? why couldnt they have the suspect [assuming if caught] pay for it.

and about your 8, sorry to hear about that. saw your other thread, and i was wondering how you hit the wall considering that i have maneuvered around many idiots who try to cut me without signaling or just not looking in their blind spots.

if i were you i would take the offer the insurance co. is offering, and also buy back the 8. you could make a LOT of money parting it out here on the forum [like many others have done] especially if the interior and main engine parts aren't damaged.

That is BS, get your car stolen and then pay for the damn impound fees. Glad you got your car back tho.

He could always pursue restitution from the violator but honestly it is probably more of a hassle than it is worth since he would probably pay you back in $10.00 increments.

But in Texas we have something called the victims of crime compensation fund. Check to see if they have something similar in Cali, and file a claim, it can't hurt.

Yeah, as what 9krpmrx8 said, if you have the time and patience take it up to small claims court. BTW those AW11 early MR2s are fun to drive specially if it came with the 4AGZE Supercharged engine.
