leasing a RX8?

Has anyone leased a RX8 in the SF Bay area?

Forgive me as I am new to leasing. Is there any negotiation involved with leasing or is it a set price? Do you negotiate a purchase price then spring the leasing option afterwards? How would trade-ins work with leasing, if at all?

Thanks in advance for any tips!

I leased from Val Strough Mazda in Oakland. Didn't have to bargain or anything. Got the AT with appearance pkg with spoiler msrp: $27,200 but got it for $25,500 without bargaining. 4 year lease $3000 down, and $350 per month. If you decide to check that out, call up Val Strough and look for Simon.

I believe it. $20k to rent a $25.5k car for four years doesn't sound like a bargain (unless the residual in your lease is in the neighborhood of 2% with an option to buy at the residual value).

Leased from Galpin Mazda in LA. Email Duke Maltin at Galpin, tell him you want to lease up in SF, and have him give you a good price, then see if you can match it up there. It might be worth the drive down here.

$3000+ ($350 x 48)=$19,800 + Interest/Taxes/Licenses. Hmmm If this was the fully loaded GT/Nav 6 Speed maybe it's alright... but anything less it's rather crappy for a Lease agreement.

Check Galpin for sure, they have a much better leasing incentive. Though I'm not sure if I would lease an RX-8 in the first place... the mileage would kill me to lease this car.
