LAX Area Meet (Part II).
what's a good insurance settlement- low $20K's i'm guessing? well, i guess it comes down to what roger wants in a car- ie luxury or performance or value maybe?
i think the Evo x w/ navi is around $35k otd, whereas the bmw 335i is going to push well into $40k territory otd. the bmw definitely has more luxury & class and is a great car. but, unfortunately, 3's are a dime a dozen in LA and that dilutes the appeal quite a bit to me. the evo x, on the other hand, is more performance and more unique- but it's not as luxurious and lacks badging.
if my 8 burned up, i really think that i would either get a 2009 or wait for the 16x. it's the most unique car on the road and i love it. but, that's just me. if i were replace the bmw tho, i'd be looking at the 2009 cadillac CTS. don't get me wrong. i love my 3 as well. but, i can't stand how bmw thoroughly diluted their name brand by flooding the market with 3's. (so much for exclusivity etc.) the new TSX is also a great bang for the buck, but it will inevitably fall into the dime-a-dozen everywhere syndrome without a doubt..
vicarious car shopping is always fun.
