Hey guys. I just got my fully loaded RX-8 and I am ready to participate in some gatherings. I worked for a former Japanese OEM(who I wont mention) and started a huge(and defunct) car club here in LA with corporate support. Now I am working at Mazdas corporate office in Irvine and I look forward to learning from alot of you about the RX-8. Nevertheless I'll be glad to bring anything to the meets I can get my hands on: RX-8 info, toys, keychains or whatever.

I'm a bit confused though about when the meets take place. In between all of the postings not related to a specific date and meeting place(not LAX anymore) I dont know when the meets are and where. Can anyone enlighted me?

sure, I feel so guilty about not showing up I'd go anywhere lol

 

that spot was cool. I'll be there for the next meet wherever it is. however the enterance is a pain if you have a lowered 8 or anything else.

 

I can't help but think that it's too far away from the major highways and LAX. The 90/marina express way does help, but now it's too far to be the LAX meet. The planes and airport, as loud as it is, make for the party piece of the meet, being one of the busiest airports in the world and all that.
Come Thursday (aka the end of finals) I can start calling places and exploring to find another spot.

welcome to the club. on that rx-8 info thought... and as for oem equipment knowledge, do we run the same nissin ABS controller in non dsc equipped models as the accura tl?
i just want to see what else we use thats interchangeable with other manufacturers. but whatever you know is always helpful, and if only i had unlimited access to oem parts between manufacturers, i would be able to do mods that don't look like it.

anyway, i'll try to meet u for the next lax meet. didn't make this month's meet. it'll be my first show and they'll sort out the new spot by then, i hope.

how's Century City Mall? or even santa monica airport parking for santa monica college is big, but then outdoor's for that one. but its big and nno harassment from the popos...

century city mall will be nice so we won't freeze off our ***. and as for the parking stub, one of us can roll in the AMC theater to buy a drink and validate all of our parking tickets....which is good for 3hr parking.

and smo seems cool. really. i have yet to get my *** to the first l.a. meet, but there was one in l.a. that i went to in glendale's best buy for the rx-7 meet the time before 7stockx...we can try that.

but i would really like l.a. or more west l.a. area... i miss being out there. i went to smc and i like the area. even somewhere in hollywood would be great.

i'll keep coming up with ideas. but as for the other 2 i have in mind in hollywood is not a good(safe) area. its right by l.a.c.c. where i grew up.

anyone likes FATBURGER? then on hollywood and vermont is a good spot with a big parking lot. its right near silverlake, and los feliz village.

i think original tommy's is outta the question. though i love tommy's, but its just not worth it to bring everyone into a bad area they are not familiar with...

does it have to be near a in-n-out? where's all the in-n-out locations in l.a. so i can try to see what pops into mind.
