Den18's 8 was ok. Just needed coils, spark plugs and spark plug wires

I think my 8 is going to be ok too. Just need some spark plugs and to put my new engine mounts on.
Oh I need to swap my cat back on. I need to register my car and the dmv wants to sniff her butt lol back in December I seafoamed my 8 and premixed hard. I guess she was smoking and I got ratted out to the dmv. So they blocked me and want to do a visual and sniff test.

My 2 back tires looked fine. I checked them out last month at a friends house when I was working on my car.
On my way to work today I was shifting and my car was sliding and pulling wtf?
I pulled over to check out my tires and the back 2 where split on the inside, thread coming apart and smoking hot from the weight of the car and only 10 psi
I limped her one block over to discounttire. The guys there are really cool. They where all jocking the 8. The guy said they are not suppose to streatch the tires that much but said we cant let you drive the car like this. We get the tires on for you. I thought that was cool of him. The kid that pulled her in keep reving it. They took there time got the tires streatched on with out jacking up my painted lip and when the kid backed her out they all stoped working to come out side and see/hear her rev

AJ how are you doing with the t shirts?? Black Halo Racing is sponsoring the rememberances so let's see what they say. How come you have all the design talent?

Announcement of the third annual Las Vegas "What Happens In Las Vegas" Meet. This event is open to all rotary vehicles

Date of the meet: June 18th and 19th, 2010

Friday evening gathering: In & Out Burgers on West Sahara

Friday evening party: TBA

Saturday drive meet point: TBA

Saturday evening party: Hoffbrahause , Las Vegas, 7pm

For the ones that want to stay off the strip: I just confirmed I can do coned off parking!
You will not lose your spot unless another 8 takes the spot lol
How it works: Cone in spot. Remove cone and park. Place cone behind car. When you leave the spot place a cone there so no one piston takes your spot.
Our back lot is now walled in by a 10' brick wall with tons of light and the security guard is a ex RX-8 owner. PM me for room info

We are posting early so that you can set this time aside. If you know your coming, let us know so we can plan.

To those of you that have not attended a Las Vegas meet, The over view will be:

Friday June 18th, 6pm - 8pm a general meet at the In & Out burger parking lot that will move to a place of libation and food at around 9am thru ?.

Saturday June 19th at 10am we will meet in a place yet to be announced for a drive in the Las Vegas area. The drive is usually about two hours in length and will end at a local Hotel for lunch. There will be a several hour break for rest, recreation and sight seeing. The party group (all that wish to attend) will meet at the Hoffbrahause for beer, food and friendship from 7pm until ?

This years drive will be close in to Las Vegas and will be on all paved roads (unless the state or county do their thing again this year), some narrow roads and some twisty roads and some freeway. There will be one spot (again this year) that will require a $5 entry fee (nothing is free anymore).

The weather will again this year be very warm but not blazing hot (yet). Be sure you carry drinking water, a hat, vehicle water and oil.

Since there are mostly people from places other than Vegas coming to the event, you should probably drop the "Vegas 8's" thing from the logo.

Wait and see......there will be more Vegas peeps than AZ peeps but we can't beat the Cali bunch.....................

 

Actually with the many Vegas Rotary cars we expect to attend, Phil I think we will surpass the Cali group.... easily. They're not all 8's but still Mazda Rotaries.

I don't think that's a good idea but there are at least 5 8s in Sin City Rotary that do not post on this forum but 3 of which come to our meets regularly. There are quite a few 7s there but a lot of them are under construction.

 

Ummmmmm, I was there last year. I also got 4 8's to show up late Friday night at Sonic. Vegas wasn't there the whole time but we showed up.

The Vegas 7 community grew a grip this year. I like our chances of having a better showing.

 

I also designed the logo and I ain't changing it so :P
